I really like the look of the Xiaomi Mi 4i, but I am slightly concerned about the built in Chinese botnet. Does anyone have one of these, and have you done any sort of security audit on it? Does it support Cyanogenmod or any other custom ROM with more security? I am having trouble finding any information on the wire.

The tracks took me a long time, but as long as you take your time and don't mind small fiddly bits it's allright. I don't put together many things, so it was fun for me. Just gotta be wary of sharp edges and not to put too much force on the pins.

My one was an xml-t6, with an 18650 battery. I'm pretty sure an aa won't fit in that.

A lot of cheap unbranded SD cards don't actually contain the promised amount of storage and puts your data at risk of corruption
I believe all cards above 32 GB marked "SDHC" and not "SDXC" are unreliable. They'll show up as 128 gb or whatever when viewed with a file explorer but once their real capacity is reached they start overwriting old data
