No removable battery, no SD card slot, no IR blaster, not that much better performance from s6.
The lack of an IR blaster is the worst part.

I had to pay extra because my employer didn't pay tax, got paid NET instead of BRUT so I got screwed over by my employer and the government asking me for tax. It's gonna take 6+ months for the government agency to look over my case.

I live the hardware, tired of the bullshit with updates. I've always had a phone that could run AOSP so I never really had to wait. I've been waiting for Marshmallow for nearly 4 months, and CM13 boots on it but nothing works because there's no drivers. So fuck Samsung, I'm done.

that will probably be something like 1200 dollars

I ordered the Note5 and got it 4 or 5 days before it officially released and only paid $740 for a 64GB version.

I highly doubt it's successor will almost DOUBLE in price.

still running a note2 because it just werks

still using a t420 for work becuase it just works

no reason to spend money on tech for a negligible preform gain.

pic related is what i'm spending a 1/4th of my return on, finally got to shoot one at the range last weekend, tfw almost no recoil compared to an m14.

Another fouth on an aimpoint sight, and putting the rest back into my savings account.

you guys having savings accounts right?

>>making so little money that you actually get a tax return
>I'm a fucking retard that doesn't know how tax returns work
You shouldn't be getting a return period after your first year or two at the job. If you do, you're shit at handling your taxes.
>>
>>52633313

If you don't get a return, then you clearly don't know how exemptions work.

I'm getting $5000 back thanks to having a child and having an unemployed wife.
>>
>>52633360
>I'm getting $5000 back thanks to having a child and having an unemployed wife.
>5 fucking thousand in a return
So have your company withhold less money for taxes out of your paycheck you dumb fuck. That's $400 into your pocket each month. If you know what you make and know what your deductions are, you can adjust your withholdings to come out within $20 or so of even. Getting a massive refund like that just shows you have no idea what's going on in your finances.
>>
>>52628883
>buying anything Samsung after they started putting adverts on YOUR content.

No.
>>
>>52629047
In every way
>>52630988
Implying I don't already own the dev version
>>
>>52633462

My child is 5 months old. I'm getting $4,000 in tax breaks from her being born, and I'll continue to get that until she's a teenager.

If I had asked for what you said, I would have risked needing to pay $4000 instead in the event that my wife didn't get pregnant.
>>
>>52633547
>If I had asked for what you said, I would have risked needing to pay $4000 instead in the event that my wife didn't get pregnant.
In which you would have been excused. Like I said earlier, your first year or two on the job. It also depends if your deductions drastically change like buying a house or having a kid.
>>
>>52633698
>>52633547
Just to clarify, I thought you meant you had a kid in general, not "We just had a baby this year."
>>
>>52633542
You mean the dev version that overheats and has a fraction of the content?
>>
>>52633698
>>52633775

It can also be affected by business expenses, medical expenses, and education. There are plenty of reasons to get money back. I frequently get more back than I paid in.
>>
>>52633360
Don't forget the medical expenses for the birth, that shit adds up easily

>>
>>52634548
what is bad about getting a refund? why do people like you even exist?
>>
>>52634565
Because that is money that could have been invested, when the government has it you gain 0 interest on that money. If you had that money instead invested throughout the year, you'd have made more money.

Why are you giving the government a personal interest free loan?
>>
>>52634514
Okay senpai, but you're gonna feel salty when 256gb mSD chips go on sale for ~$100 a piece at the end of this year.

Already bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. At least my phone has a proper battery and only costed 150€
>>
>>52634622
then what phone do you recommend that doesnt have a potato resolution?
>>
>>52634637
Just invest it in your 401k or something if you aren't already maxing that out.

Safe investments will still return a couple % without much if any risk at all.

Either way, no excuse to be getting a huge refund if you have a steady income besides poor planning by you.

>>
>>52634733
Note4 is confirmed getting marshmallow, so not sure why you think that's an issue.

It's within 15-20% performance of the Note5, it is still a pretty solid phone.

And this is coming from a note5 owner.
>>
>>52634696

Even if you don't invest it, you'll get the money back each month instead of waiting until the end of the year.
>>
>>52634757
and then i wouldnt be getting the phone i want
>>
>>52634733
The Note 4 isn't THAT old, dam. It was released October 2014.

But if you want the most fancy specs just because then you should consider the Z5 premium. It has a 4K screen (2160p), a 23MP camera, and of course a mSD slot.
>>
>>52634847
the z5 premium looks like a good option as well
>>
>>52628979
because inflation exists
>>
>>52634943
since when has inflation increased faster than average market return on investments?
>>
>>52628883

Getting a refund is a failure on your part.
>>
>>52635128
see
>>52634779
without refunds i could neve4 vet anything really nice
>>
>>52635116

I think that anon misunderstood the other anon. The original anon was implying that he should save it and invest it. The second anon took him as saying that he should literally save it and put it in a bank.
>>
>>52635159
Even a normal savings account should generally at least match inflation.
>>
Non burger here, what is tax return? Does the government give you back a percentage of your taxes for paying them on time or some shit?
>>
>>52635816
No its a check from overpaying your taxes

Lots of people do their taxes smart and dont get one, but it helps children who cant save have some spending money the beginning of the year.
