Look what you have to go through to do that. You have to specifically give it root access, go through a warning, and not print the partitions to not see the mount point while using a low level utility.
He speaks about it like it's official software, so if he's not using fdisk I don't know what he's using. Otherwise the developers of that program suck, not Linux.
