Yes. Even when I have a mouse plugged in I keep using the trackpoint most of the time. It's right where you have your hands anyway, and feels so much nicer than any touchpad.

It's one of the main reasons I bought a Thinkpad. Touchpads are generally shit on modern laptops, but my old Acer Travelmate had a really godly one that even worked well for playing Unreal Tournament and Starcraft. Truth be told, I'd still be using it if Linux didn't have abysmal support for its onboard video, and if Windows didn't become so damn bloated.

Yup. All the time. It's easier to be able to keep my hands on the keyboard.
I'm using it right now. It gets a bit uncomfortable after heavy usage, but it's fine since pretty much all I do is through the keyboard, it's especially good since I don't have to take my hands off the keyboard to use the pointer.
I just wish all laptops had a trackpoint, not sure if I'd be able to go back to using a touchpad ever again. The fact that no manufacturer will every design laptops like pic related makes me really sad.

Yes, I use it all the time when using my thinkpad.
It's just more comfortable and easier to use when on the go than a touchpad, and because of this I'll probably never buy a laptop that isn't a Thinkpad.
