If it has no touch interface or voice recognition, it's trash. People born after 1995 won't know how to interact with it. Also don't offer any configuration options AT ALL, since that would only confuse them.

SourceTree is exactly the thing I was talking about. it's sorta similar to TortoiseHG, but apparently completely web-based and feels very sluggish because of that - also diff displays were very limited in the version I last used.

>Most of the complex version control tasks are just naturally easier to do in the CLI.
I won't argue with that, but no one is stopping me from doing those complex tasks in CLI. Most of tasks I do are simple. Being able to click on a commit and then on file to see associated changes, being about to right click on a commit and left click "update" to update code in filesystem to that version, those tasks are best when you have visual representation of tree right in front of you.

Its not it originated as a native OSX software written in ObjC, I've never used the Windows version but its probably just badly ported.

>Regardless of your Internet speeds, 10GB is going to take 10x as long as 1GB to transfer.
In both cases we're talking about very little time, less than the runtime of the movie.
If you set the torrent client to download the pieces in sequential order you can literally watch it while it's still downloading.
>>
>>52615694
Let's say you have gigabit Internet. Downloading a 10GB movie takes 80 seconds. Downloading a 1GB movie takes 8 seconds. A minute and a half isn't much time at all, but it's far more than 8 seconds, and all of that just to delete it because it turned out to be shit

Reading the man page for actual CLI is bullshit, but reasonable bullshit

Pseudo-GUIs in curses that don't follow any sort of HIG are unjustified bullshit

I dont have confidence that I understand what you're trying to say here, so I'll try pre-empting some possibilities:

* iTunes isn't a heavy application
* fuck you 4GB ram is plenty for a laptop, esp seeing as I'm not a gamer
* iTunes >> musicbee and foobar when it comes to load times, file management, and aesthetics
>>
>>52614229
Deluge(windows) "just works", but still can't watch the content list before start downloading a torrent
>>
>>52624097
>* iTunes >> musicbee and foobar when it comes to load times, file management, and aesthetics
>load times
foobar2000 is an instant start, instant play, has gapless playback, updates its browser within seconds when files and folders change

itunes can't beat that on a good day
>>
>>52624097
>* iTunes isn't a heavy application
Yeah, no. You're wrong.

[Snide comment questioning your sexuality in regards to using an Apple product with several poorly thought out arguments as to why my personal choice of media player is significantly better accompanied by a captioned anime reaction image in an attempt to validate my claims.]

>iTunes isn't a heavy application
I know this is bait, but I'm going to reply anyway. As a Macfag, I'll just say it straight out that this is simply wrong. iTunes is fucking crap.

It takes loads of resources, can't play FLAC, Opus, ogg vorbis or any format other than ALAC, AAC, MP3 and WAV. Hard to manoeuvre, shit interface, bloated with bullshit features like Genius, Apple Radio, iPhone/iPad sync bullshit and their atrocious store that doesn't sell lossless samples. Its CD import functions are shit, no fucking equalizer, device syncing is dick and conversion functions are also horrid. Apple also deletes all alternative software to iTunes on the App Store.

Conclusion: Nothing about Apple Music is good. Use mpd+ncmpcpp or fucking anything else.
