I don't want a 980 Ti for this.

You can leave.

I googled around, and found an answer because I was curious. Now I know the answer.
>>
>>52607337
Nice. I, too, have googled around and know of at least two choices.
>>
>>52607377
I have also googled a bit, and now I know of several different cards that support this kind of setup.

Buy a bunch of $20 PCIe x16/x1 cards, fill your PCI slots with $10 cards like the NVS55.

Attach them to a bunch of cheap monitors

That's pretty nice, but OP is definitely better off with an NVS 420. Will do the same job at a tenth of the price.

Depends on what resolution the monitors are.

>gaymer cards

Look you picky faggot

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127842

It has 3 fucking Display Ports so you can hack into the mainframes with 20+ daisy chained monitors like in the Matrix and it's $200. You don't even have to play video games. Pretend like you're being productive and 'video edit' or something.
>>
>>52607855
Why would OP spend $200 on a gaymer shit 960 for a task that he can do better with an array of inexpensive PCI cards that don't require a nuclear reactor to run?

I had no idea. I thought they left the market for good when they failed to get their drivers up to speed with their Parhelia architecture.

>>

What exactly is OP planning to do? Just trading?
>>
>>52608122
Don't think he ever said ITT, but if he's just planning to do that or anything else 2D, a GeForce card really is a total waste if you ask me. For that kind of setup you want a bunch of low-power single slot cards that allow you to stuff as many in there as you can, or free up expansion slots for other cards.

They have a pretty serious product lineup too.
>octal monitor solution
They were known for their multimonitor capability in the 90's, but this is crazy.
>>
>>52608230
What kind of applications other than trading would you need that many monitors for? Driving digital signs maybe?
>>
>>52607911
I think they specialize for medical equipment, though.
>>
>>52608401
That's a good market to specialize in. Medical imaging is a huge market.
>>
>>52608283
Industrial control systems would be a valid application.
>>52608401
It looks like just one of their many talents. Most of their focus still appears to be multi-monitor monstrosities.
>>
you dont even need a gpu that can do 3 monitors. just buy usb 3 video adapters, hell even usb 2 would work for normal 1080 displays
>>
>>52608441
Shit, I didn't think of that.

>>52608478
This is a good idea too, I always hated dealing with USB dongles though.
>>
I used to run two monitors off of a Zotac GT 430 and a third off of my motherboard back when I thought the more monitors you had, the cooler you were.
>>
>>52607118
i'll give you the best advice i read long ago: you don't need six monitors for trading, you can lose money with just one
>>
people who know video cards, what do you do with a broken video card out of warranty? are they worth fixing
>>
>>52608913
try baking it. if that doesn't work you really can't fix anything unless it's just a fucked up fan or something like that.
>>
i have a similar question.

could a 950 (which has 3 DP 1.2 ports) handle 3 4K monitors? I have a GTX 970 handling 2 4K monitors, but i was an idiot and bought one with just 1 DP port and 1 HDMI port (and some DVI ports), so i'm planning on replacing it with a video card that actually supports 3 (or maybe 4) 4k monitors for desktop use in case i get a third.
>>
>>52608913
Bake it and pray. Most likely have a broken solder joint in the BGA
>>
>>52609029
>>52609142

I'd really like to put a real card in my BSD space heater shitbox
>>
>>52609269
well if it's allready fucked it's worth a try. fixed my old gtx480 which was artifacting hard as fuck.
>>
amd 970 board with 3 5450's and amd 6300 with 212 cooler

each display has independent gpu.
>>
>>52609269
You can't break it more.
>>
>trading
if you are actually trading a 980ti is less than 20 points profit on a single s&p500 mini future. if you can't afford that you should probably look for another work opportunity
>>
>>52610533
But as previously stated, why exactly would you waste your money on a power-sucking gaymer card for trading that won't even be as good at it as a cheap low-power option?
>>
>>52609079
use the dvi ports. hdmi and DVI are the same thing, and DP and DVI can passively convert....
theres no reason to change
>>
>>52610581
DVI doesn't handle 4k...
>>

XFX Radeon HD5450
i bought one of these as an emergency fix when my main gpu died. sure it didnt play games that good but it handles 3 screens and cost almost nothing!
I have had 3 monitor in my main rigg for about 6 years now and i can say if you want multiple screens without going for sli and pay out your ass get AMD-cards not Nvidia!
>>
>>52612194
>XFX

I told you no gaymer cards
>>
>>52612222
if you really are OP just buy a bunch of used NVS 420s you massive faggot
>>
I'd just play it safe and get something like this.. I mean you never know when you want to check out twitch or watch 4k porn smooth as fuck.
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-750Ti-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B00IDG3IDO
you'd prolly just have to get adapters
>>
>>52612222
Does brand even matter? if you're so pedantic about it, buy PNY, it's about as close as you'll get to buying a card directly from Nvidia. They are the only company that build Quadro cards.

Whats the problem? did a gaming card touch you when you where small? Where do you draw the line between a gaming and a workcard?
Having 3 monitors is a relatively heavy thing for a card to pull off, therefor a gaming card is a good choice!
And it not like you told what you are going to do with it?
Like what OS do you run?
What programs do you want to run?
which types of connectors do you need for your monitors?
If you want a "low" card why not just read your card some life questioning poems or put it in the basement. Perhaps you want a card with diabetes so its sugar can get low!
Maybe your computer chassi is really crammed and you need a card with a low cooling system or perhaps no cooling at all!
Is it that your current card is a methhead and you're tired of a speedfreak and need some balance in you life and therefore think a 420-card is a good choice, but you know deep inside your heart that these drugs will consume you either way!
>>
>>52607118
Radeon hd 5450 might be able, it have 3 output, i tried dual display with it (my old htpc) hdmi goes to my sharp aquos, and dvi goes to my shitty dell 22" display. Only dsub went unused because i dont have old monitor lying around. It just werkz
>>
>>52607118
Isn't that a gaymer keyboard?
GT610 should do
Or GT730 Kepler based, don't know about the outputs
The gamer cards have multiple DPs but I think there are also workstation cards, possibly more expensive, I would go with the gaming cards if you don't need special drivers
>>
why not just get one of the eyefinity edition cards that amd used to have.
