Has there ever been a better set of speakers ever made? i have had my logitechs for almost 9 years now and they are still running like new
>>
>logitech
Literally any set of monitor speakers will blow those out of the water. Fuck, I bet my $150 m-audio pair is louder than those without an amp
>>
>>52581876
There's plenty of better ones but Logitechs, despite /g/'s autistic opinion, are great.

Logitech also has GOAT customer service, so even if your stuff is 8 years out of warranty, they will hook you up if it goes bad.
>>
>>52581927
talking about reliability. they are perfectly loud enough. mine only cost $80 nzd too
>>
>>52581960
>they are perfectly loud enough
implying that the louder it gets the better the sound
>>
>>52582127
no not >implying. meaning that the range of volume attainable while retaining quality is satisfactory
>>
Í've had the exact same set for years before I upgraded to rokit 5's, which was a huge improvement, then I upgraded to adam A7X's and that was an even better investment and the best sound i've ever had

Bought these for cheap on ebay in 2005 and they're still kicking. Strictly pc speakers though, I go Onkyo for the living room.
>>

>>52582127
>>52581960
Besides loudness, monitors will give you noticeably more accurate audio reproduction. I tested a range of "computer" speakers including Logitechs in the same price range. I bought my current monitors because hearing them next to any of those was like night and day at even low to mid volume. Build quality wise, they seem much sturdier but that may be subjective. I can guarantee the internals will last much longer though.
>>
>>52581876
I am still using mine, only that 2 of the speakers broke and the main unit has a loose wire somewhere so the sound sometimes cut out if i move the cable

Logitech makes some okay stuff. I bought the z-506 for around $60 almost a year ago.
Still works flawlessly and sounds great.
My only complaint is that the sub is a little weak. But, I have sound blaster cinema, so I was able to set the gain a little bit higher.
>>
>>52584021
Same here, already 5+ years with it and still works perfectly.
In my case, I had to lower the sub gain to stop the whole table shaking.

>>
>>52581876
Have the exact same ones, working very well still.
>>
>>52582165
It really isn't. I have the same setup and I agree with you on the fact that they last forever, mine are about as old as yours. But they are not good in any way and I'm honestly tempted to just replace them with some 2.0 setup because subwoofer is annoying as fuck, takes space, doesn't really do much if anything and when i want to actually listen to music I use headphones.
It's good setup if you are a middle schooler blasting garbage music at full volume to make your neighbor life miserable, otherwise not so much.
>>
>>52584166
>>52584187
No, but my room is small and my display is on top of the sub.
>>
I've got a set of Harmon Kardon desktop speakers from the 90s thatll blow those out of the water. Thinking of getting a sub for them soon too. Cost me fifty cents
>>
>>52584788
Damn. I wish mine was as loud as yours. I don't have any carpet or anything to dampen the sound, so I'm not sure why it's so quiet.

This Logitech set is one of the models I looked at ~10 years ago before deciding on the Altec Lansing FX6021 speakers. I'm very happy with the fx6021 and I hope they last for a while longer. Happy to hear the Logitechs are good too.
>>
>>52585314
150 is bit high friend got it for 110 on sale for that price no you can beat them. For 150 is moot point, because you can get decent 3 inch monitors for 75 and 10 inch sub for another 100. An they be legues better than klips because they have amp for every speaker and not rely on some cheepo D class amp for the satelites.

allow me to interject and remind everyone that logitech speakers are low-tier in terms of audio quality and real speakers are superior to any logitech or plebeian meme monitor-speaker garbage when cost is not a issue
>>
>>52586384

isn't it strange how plebeians have no idea how well mechanical speakers endure and sustain quality for decades, and are not aware that "old" speakers may be three to four magnitudes better in output quality than any of the mid-priced shit that is peddled by Magnolia in Best Buy

british-designed speakers that are cheaply made tend to sound harsh when driven with shitty underpowered amps and fed with garbage signal from a garbage preamp and source

well-made british speakers driven by superior amplifiers and modulated by superior preamps and fed with a high quality source tend to sound more refined and realistic than the usual blare of jbl garbage driven by shitty receiver-type amps purchased by plebes

two inch drivers are going to sound like ass no matter how many there are.

you probably would enjoy a higher quality powered subwoofer (10 or 12 inch) with a better driver component -- ~$150 to $200 used

all these anons are so impressed that cheapo computer speakers last a long time.

This shouldn't be surprising. these things hardly move any air at all. they put virtually zero stress on their cabinets, and a lot of times the cones aren't even flexible, they're like metal or hard plastic. more likely hard plastic painted to look like metal
