This is my speed over WiFi ~50ft diagonal from the router, through a wall.

Nice, nice. How much do you pay? I pay $70 (USD) for 1gbps up / down.
>>52541840
$3.5
Dont troll
>>52541840
$110NZD ($70 USD) for >>52541826
I could get gigabit but that will cost me an extra $20USD/month
New Zealand Internet is pretty expensive
>>52541866
What?
>>52541879
Eh, not bad really. $70 for 100mb synchronous connection is better than what most of the U.S. can get.
>>52541914
>What?
₽300
>>52541960
What
~6$/month
A benefit of living close to a fiber line from the universities of Denmark. They allow non university apts/houses in on it for a fairly small fee besides the cost of establishing the fiber to the residency.
>>52542057
That is pretty cool. Too bad I live in the U.S. where that stuff isn't anywhere (if FTTx is at a university they can't really resell). In fact, in my specific area my ISP is trying to expand to offer fiber in other areas near by, but are getting cockblocked by the state. Because they're owned by local government and all the state politicians are in Comcast's pocket :(
Meanwhile, on LTE
>>52542056
Stop saying that.
I'm scared
>>52542097
LTE speeds are around 40-60 mbps. Too lazy to grab my phone
>>52542128
Meanwhile, on work connection

>>52542168
How? What?
>>52542085
Damn, that sucks. From everything I've seen, Comcast just seems like a shining example of huge corporate dickery in every regard.
Thats actually better than i expected.
>>52542191
just Ip spoofing, not a big deal desu since speedtest is coded like a shit.
>>52542218
It does suck! :(
>>52542168
Nice. Respect for Google Fiber, no desire to get it though. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5016313803 Not complaining for muni-ISP
>>52542270
not on google fiber just passing the wrong x-forward to speedtest because who wants to be tracked right ?
>>52542272
Respect you for going that far not to be tracked. Sincerely. I don't even care enough to defend my privacy anymore :(
>>52542242
How does it go higher than your actual speed then?
>>52542722
that is my actual speed...
>tfw can't bring myself to buy better router
Cox confirmed for devil
how the fuck are your internets so fast?
I should be getting 100/8 or 100/10 since new year but I think my shitty 8 year old router just can't handle it
>>52543258
I should really do something about it
>>52542753
I thought that said botnet group at first. I'm spending to much time on /g/.
i get about 6 mb/s
fuck you all
>>52543258
If you cancel your service and then re-sign up for the same service your ISP will probably give you a new updated router.
Or you could just call them and ask if they can replace your current one with a newer one.
Most non cunt ISPs should do it for free, or charge you a small fee.
$65/month for this.
Pretty nice for Chile I think
>>52544385
except that you have to live in chile
>>52542097
>>52542155
And at home
>>52544423
It wasn't necessary to say that :'( and yet you are right
>>52544223
European here. Verizon Fios and Verizon - difference?
>>52545216
FIOS refers to fiber from Verizon. Although if it's mobile, it's probably shown as Cellco partnership d/b/a verizon wireless
Verizon it's self is either mobile or DSL.
>>52545216
FiOS is their Fiber branding. Only available in small areas of the country that are fairly densely populated. So east coast and west coast basically.
Northern VA, DC, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CA, etc.
All of their speed packages are sequential (meaning you get the same upload speed as download speed), and there is no data cap. I have used over 10TB in a single month without getting any notices or anything.
