Windows 10, if you use any other, you'll still have to upgrade in the near future anyways.
Also use http://sourceforge.net/projects/windows-10-lite/files/ when doing a clean install of windows 10. After the install use https://www.safer-networking.org/spybot-anti-beacon/ and you'll be good to go.

But 10 with SSD is an absolute beast of an OS for gaming or htpc purposes. For anything else, OSX.
