Hello my friends and nerds, can anyone help recommend me a laptop?
I'm pretty illiterate with computer hardware, or maybe I'm just autistic.
My HP Pavilion g7 shit the bed 2 years ago and I'm done dealing with it.
Looking for something sleak and fast. What's a good brand too go for? Would buying a $300 laptop and upgrading video and ram be the way too go?
Mainly looking for something to video call, with long battery life (I'm a student and need to carry this shit around everywhere), and not a mac.

That's not my price range, I was implying buying something basic and building it up.
upgrading a leptop's graphics is impossible except for a select number really expensive models.

how much do you care about games? im assuming not much. literally any new skylake i5 or i7 laptop will do you very nicely and give you nice battery life. any laptop with a discrete gpu will have shit battery life, even the ones with switchable graphics.

Upgrading laptop video is practically impossible. If you want gaymen just build a pc.
For just day to day shit, pretty much any computer with an i5 and 4gb of ram will take care of you.
