I've been using Vivaldi for a while now but there are still things that bother me.

If you use the bookmarks bar and its filled to the point where you have to use the dropbox arrow thing whatever it's called you can't right click on the bookmarks to open them in a new tab nor use Mouse 3.

Opening too many tabs it's a pain because once you close one it moves to the last open tab instead of the next tab to the right, you might think this is not a problem but when you open more than 20 tabs it is a bother.

If you open too many tabs the tittle cross to close the tab will fill the whole tab area so you ending it up closing the tab instead of switching to it if you're not super careful

Websites still fail to load, I can't download stuff from MEGA using Vivaldi because it gets stuck at 0% and some websites that use flash fail to load too

No noscript built it, I use uMatrix but it's just no the same and sometimes uMatrix breaks websites unless I completely disable it.

Because open source browsers have proven time and time again to be shitty browsers. See: the removal of pretty much every useful feature in Firefox and the addition of bullshit no one needs.

Maintaining a web browser isn't like maintaining your typical open source project. All of the forks are even worse.

The only "useful" features that were removed are the new tab customizable url and the addons bar, I've been using firefox since 2004/2005 and I know well what changed since then, yes they tried to imitate chrome because normies can't into customization and shit but the bloat can be disable manually using about:config and the addon bar can be added back with an addon, the browser is still good, I've plenty of addons installed too and the RAM being raped is blatant FUD.

>You can't browse properly on a 5 inch display
Jej. Go ahead, show what you CAN'T do on your phone. Even Flash is possible, if you think it's still relevant.

/g/ how do I rice my meme browser
>>
>>52516733
If all you do is browse faecesbook and shitpost on 4chan then yes, you can do everything with a phone browser.
>>
>>52516119
It reopens whenever you download something

If you can remove that shit on top you coaxed me into using Vivaldi.
>>52516776
>dodging the question
Just what I thought. Phone browsers use the same engine, so they are just as able.
>>
>>52516822
Downloads section of the options, unselect Open Download Panel Automatically.
>>
what's the diference between beta and snapshot ?
>>
>>52516776
>using your browser for either of these things
Calm down here meme child.
>>
>>52516828

Their engine is not my main issue but rather the lack of multiwindow support especially being both shown at the same time and actually being usable (I feel that at 27in 1440p is a stretch having two windows, anything less is unusable). How else to manage 100+ open tabs?
>>
>>52516897
>using site specific application to browse the internet
kill yourself already, cancer
>>
>>52516828
>If you can remove that shit on top

You can. There's a toggle for the horizontal menu.
>>
>>52516905
Better question is why do you need so many tabs SIMULTANEOUSLY. The only time I needed as much is when I had to fix an application written in unfamiliar language. Not a daily thing. Anyway, phones can open hundreds of tabs too. They'd even do a better job at that as they hibernate them.
>>52516956
Just show me how it looks.

because the scrolling on a page makes muh head dizzy. Whomever thought this smooth scrolling is a good day, killed that browser for me. It is like playing a FPS game with blur effect.
>>
>>52516972
You can turn that shit off, you know
>>
>>52516966

So now your argument is that I should not use tabs anymore in order to adapt to the limitations of a phone?
>>
>>52516972
Turning smooth scrolling off is the first thing I do in any browser. Vivaldi allows this.
>>
>>52516972
>Whomever thought this smooth scrolling is good
It's the next best thing. Chrome lacks proper smooth scroll due to bugs, not because it's good not to have it.
>>
>>52516998
Haven't I written that you can open all them tabs?
>>
>>52517026
How are you going to manage at least two windows at the same time (actually being able to read without srcoll) on a 5 inch phone?
>>
>no mac builds
>>
>>52517119
>being able to read without srcoll
By living in some kind of wonderland. Or reading really short text. Mine won't fit even on your display anyway.

Is it open source? If not I won't use it

I just use the extension to check for new posts. It shows them as "+X" posts, no need to keep them open.
>>
>>52510321
What about extensions?
>>
>>52517371
Great, you 'solved' the issue with 4chan. Now how about the rest of the websites? (;
>>
>>52516828
I found out how to remove the menubar.
Add
@import "custom.css"; to /opt/vivaldi-snapshot/resources/vivaldi/style/common.css
Then creaste custom.css wit h this.
button.vivaldi {
display: none !important;
}
.tab .close {
display: none !important;
}
#header {
min-height: 0 !important;
z-index: auto !important;
}

.win .topmenu {
color: #fff;
position: absolute;
top: 5px;
left: 98px;
}

.topmenu+#tabs-container.top {
border-bottom: 1px solid;
position: absolute;
top: 62px;
width: 100%;
z-index: 1 !important;
}

#tabs-container.bottom #tabs, #tabs-container.top #tabs {
height: 30px !important;
}

.button-toolbar.home{
display: none;
}

.window-buttongroup {
z-index: 2;
}

Edit as needed.

You can still change the new tab home page with stock Firefox, it's in about:config
>>
>UI is written in HTML+CSS
what a fucking joke

and what the hell is with the random-ass useless bloatware non-browser features? if I wanted to use fucking seamonkey I would.

It's gotta have a native UI or I won't use it. Also, Blink is a battery-gulping asshole so anything using it is automatically out of the question.
