Go into bios/uefi and disable uefi and disable USB 3.0, install windows and the updates you need then renable usb3 and uefi

so much gear yet so little idea as to how anything works.

is your drive plugged in? there should be two cords, one from your drive to your power supply and one from your sata ports to your drive. make sure your pc is powered down and unplugged when you do this.
