Is it the windows equivalent of C:\Users\{username}\Documents? in any case, I use no such folder.
>>52502022
i dont even own a smart phone.
>>52502160
It's the main folder in Linux for keeping user files. So it goes /home/{username}/{Documents | Pictures | Downloads, etc.}

This is a true Linux home.
I dump my desktop to a folder once i can no longer find anything
>>52501691
literally everything is thrown in to ~/Downloads
there is no organization

that's about it, bin folder is in my path by default on my OS

what distro/shell?
>>52508728
OpenBSD and its default shell, the Korn Shell.
>>52508738
The only ksh I really have used is mksh, desu. What made you pick OpenBSD?
>>52508837
Simplicity, ease of use, good documentation. I don't even care about "secure by default" that much.
It just werks™
Also they use pdksh in OpenBSD.
>>52508870
I use it for my SSH gateway, and I do love that documentation
>>52507908
Anon, how big is that reaction folder?
And where to get it?
>>52507688
VeraCrypt doesn't support it yet sadly.
What do you use for encryption? Seeing I'm probably gonna get a second computer for server needs.
I just have a lot of files scattered all over. Some of them are in sub-directories, but not all of them.

My home folder is a fucking mess. I put a folder in it and I organize only the content of that folder. Anything outside that folder is a fucking mess and I don't really care.
>>52507908
thank you for inspiring me to organise my reactions folder anon
>>52512649
how so? it's a freedesktop standard and helps to reduce clutter in your home folder
>>52512776
HOME folder is already a fucking mess. Your var change nothing about that.
everything is in /home/downloads and i don't give a fuck
i delete everything once a week and write down the important things
>>52512802
it probably wouldn't be if you configured your system properly, anon
>>52512926
HOME is always a fucking mess. I never see a cleaned home because it would mean an empty HOME.
>>52501691
Guess I am the only one that names folders and files in my native language.
>>52503682
You fucked up when setting up your partitions dude. I have UEFI GPT install with encrypted system drive
>2015+1
>not changing your folder icons to animu
pic related, I changed everything not only the Pictures folder.
I keep all my files in a folder on my desktop. Images, videos, documents, downloads, everything. It's basically another home directory on my desktop. No idea why I do it like that but I don't wanna sift through and organize ~150 GB anytime soon
>>52513564
damn that's weird as fuck. I don't understand the appeal to this

B-but look, it's cool !
>>52501691
how is this even a question?
general category folders already set up for you,
then music/artis/album/tracks
video/movie title alternately video/genre/movie title
downloads, well that's where you keep the shit you gotta sort
a folder titled working or something like that for incomplete torrents and when torrents complete tthey move to the downloads folder for sorting
