Nigger please dont be this retarded. Burn in hasn't been a serious issue since the S2 days. Any current gen AMOLED display will be fine if you aren't retarded and leaving brightness at MAX and using maps or another static image for 5+ hours at a time.

Normal use with the brightness at auto and your display will last you years just fine, I have my S4 here and it's fine, I also have my Note5 here and it's still just fine as well.

LCDs dont have the color accuracy or black levels my note5 display has either.
>>
Okay the screen is bad... But how do you decline this?
>>
>>52496756
don't a static image on the screen for hours at a go, but with a personal unit you don't have to worry about it as you'll have the display off when it's in your pocket.
>>
>>52496731
So don't use a Samsung phone as a GPS. In other words, don't use it as a smartphone. Great. No wonder Samsung is going down the shitter.
>>
>>52496849
No, don't use it as a GPS at max fucking screen brightness for hours and hours on end, it's true for any organic LEDs, static images at high brightness levels will cause burn in, plain and fucking simple as that.

If you dont want burn in, dont fucking do it.

Keep it at auto brightness and you're fine.
>>
>>52496731
Your average person may overlook the phone because of the burn in problem.

>>52497493
LOL Sony and nexus have the same shitty problem with their amoled screens which is the reason for why I hate so much my phone. LG doesn't have this problem so I will probably give it a try, only reason for why I want to stay with Android devices is because cotumisation but it doesn't worth it if your screen will look like shit after a while (and yes, I know there are exceptions but it seems like the majority of phones with amoled screens experience problems with their displays).
>>

Sony uses IPS LCD you dipshit.

Literally the only company who produces AMOLED displays is samsung, and they only share with a few people.
>>
>>52497461
I'd like to see the full breakdown of points if I could. We all know the iPhone6S is fast, it's killing chips that were released after the iPhone6, but Antutu does a range of tests and it would be interesting to see if it is excelling in particular areas or across the board.

If you've got a 6S then do an Antutu bench and post the expanded results.

LG makes OLED displays, but i believe the only recent smartphone OLED display they have put out was the LG G Flex 2. The G2, G3, G4 and V10 were all LCD.

Literally the only AMOLED displays out right now are from samsung, either in Samsung devices, or in a few select other devices (mainly smaller manufacturers like Meizu, Gionee, ZTE, Oppo, Huawei, etc).

No anon, you're fine. I'm going to weigh in on AMOLED burn-in. I bought a used Note II in November 2013 and stopped using it in December 2015. I had between 4-6 hours Screen on Time every day for those two years. For the last two months I could barely see burn-in with a grey screen at minimum brightness. The status bar was slightly brighter, with darker spots where the notification icons and clock were. I really miss AMOLED screens and regret buying a Z3 Compact over a Galaxy Alpha.

You've got it all wrong, I'm actually an NVIDIA shill.

Anyways all I'm saying is as a long time user of the S5, burn-in is hardly an issue. I'm sure you could burn it in if you tried, but if you're using your phone like a normal person and not leaving the same image on for 24 hours, you'll never encounter it.

Seriously, just keep a display off timer on and you'll never need to worry.

Keep on talking out of your ass, you might call them meme graphs, but I call it accurate measurements.

Fact is AMOLED surpassed LCD tech in early 2015, and by the end of 2016 it wont even be a contest, power draw, color accuracy, black levels, etc, AMOLED is superior at this point.

That and as I already said, AMOLED tech has been advancing at a MUCH faster pace than LCD tech, and AMOLED tech doesn't appear to be slowing down in the improvements as VR headsets look to be set on using them for the foreseeable future in around the same size panel as is required by smartphones.
