How long do you run Prime 95 after a new build?
30min or so. Honestly if it doesn't overheat after 5 you're not going to have any heat problems from a normal workload.
~3hrs
Let it run overnight.
If you don't wake up because your house burned down, you won't have to worry about your computer crashing :^)

*After OCing. Never stress tested a stock build
>>52492195
1 hour.
After a new overclock, 24 hours.
What's prime 95?
1 hour baseline; stock
4 hours every additional increment; +.5/1 mult or 2mhz BCLK

Prime number program; simple description
You can use it to stress test cpus
>>52492195
Never, it puts an unrealistic load on the cpu and fucks up newer intel cpu's.
I usually just stress test for 1h or so anyway.
Haven't had a reason to for 5 years. 2500k and all that.
> using deprecated software for windows 95
good 1
I'd advise against using prime95 anymore and would instead suggest about an hour of aida64, which is both safer to run on modern platforms and can reveal instability much faster

Every guide out there tells you to use version 26.6 with Haswells
>>52492841
This. AVX a shit.
>>52492195
1 Hour.
>>52492195
I don't. I also never OC, though.

>a shit because it makes unnecessary torture tests run too hot
k
>>52493268
Name something that uses that instruction set.
>>52492195
Honestly if it lasts for 15 minutes then it's fine.
>>52492195
about 5 mins seems right
>>52492195
0 minutes

About tree fiddy
a month so i know whether my windows server is stable
>>52492195
Zero, because Intel Burn Test is superior.
None, because that is a terrible way to test 'burn in' even if that were a thing.
>>52492195
I don't even know what prime95 is...
