I ditched my mouse long ago and got myself an intuos and then built a 45 degree stand. Now I use it 100% of the time. I'm convinced this is the only way to use a computer properly. Who here /wacom/ masterrace?

Got an Intuos too, and it's great for annotating / drawing.
But for normal navigation, the trackpoint on a Thinkpad is still the most ergonomic device I have used.

The issue is that Wacom tablets use absolute tracking unlike trackpads, mice, clitmice, ETC which use relative tracking. Playing an fps on a Wacom just results in your crosshair spinning uncontrollably in a circle

it doesn't, i use it all day errday. Trackballs are far more annoying to use. I use my wacom over my dual screns and its fine. Everything is just fine.

I was told that when it comes to cintiq territory you must go wacom as there is no other competition, but for cheaper tablets you can go elsewhere for must more reasonable prices, and the higher-end tablets may have competition by now, too. I heard about a year ago that a company was trying to compete, but I certainly don't have any details on the matter. This is all vague and hearsay, but wacom definitely fucks its customers in the ass with their prices.

It's amazing once you get used to it. You're correct for the USB keyboard. You can't switch it so if you get the variant with the short shift key, you're fucked for any shortcut that requires CTRL and SHIFT to be pressed.
The fact that you can't swap FN and CTRL and the fact that the keyboard cannot handle WINKEY+LEFT_SHIFT+RIGHT are the only negative sides of it.

The difference isnt really huge but Wacom CTL-480 has 0 input lag with the correct drivers and it feels smoother + the pen has no batteries making it lighter. I've owned both the h420 and my current CTL-480 and the upgrade was definitely worth it for me. There's a reason why not many top players use the H420.

There's nothing wrong the the h420, the wacoms just look nicer, I haven't used one but personally, but most people say so. It's the same model as the osu!tablet
The only drawback is that the drivers take a bit of fiddling to get working on Windows (only to configure buttons, if you got an h420 over a 420).
Only reason I want a Wacom is again, it looks cooler, but it's also bigger.
