Don't use XFCE, it's ancient, broken and bugfixes are once in 10 years.
If you want a classic desktop paradigm use MATE. It has more features, like actually fucking working multimonitor support
XFCE if you are a ricer
Cinnamon if you have a life and want something that looks great
KDE if you want your desktop to look like shit
MATE if you want it to look in between the shit that is KDE and the god tier that is Cinnamon.

I love xfce, but I had to go with cinnamon because xfce had screen tearing even with Compton. Too bad...
