Linux is a shitload of bloatware atop a mound of binary blobs. Unix philosophy is basically dead, and it is time to come to terms with this. Imagine how beautiful a world where no cycle went to waste. Imagine how much more performance you would get from everything. It's really too bad the only original style Unix platforms have all gone to shit.

Wasted cycles are the least of the problems of today's Ganoo Linux though.

Not being able to replace X.org for 15 years is definitely a testament to the efficiency of Linux development.
>>52451773
Xorg is an implementation of X11 which was created in 1984, 7 years before the first version of Linux kernel appeared.
It's a project independent to Linux since most BSD distributions save for OS X use it as well.
And yes, xorg is absolute, ancient, insecure, nigger-rigged garbage, no doubt about it.
That's why everyone has his fingers crossed for Wayland to replace it in the near feature.
What stops Wayland from doing it today is existing Linux architecture which will be broken when desktop distributions make the switch. We're all trying to reduce the damage to minimum.
Fedora 24 will ship with Wayland as default.
