Don't plan on getting anything else as I'm pretty much set in terms of Apple stuff for the next few years. The laptop does what I use it for more than well enough and for the heavier GPGPU work I just have my desktop running Ubuntu.

Can't help myself, it's the most widely available RISC/68k desktop hardware you can get, cheap as fuck, real UNIX capability on Quadras, and decently high-end for its time, not to mention the attractive and surprisingly functional design of older systems, the massive software base, great collector/developer community and "muh steve jobs' golden age" hipster cred holding their value up on internet marketplaces. Also, the PB G3 and 1400 had pretty damn good keyboards.
