I'm not stealing, I'm just downloading files someone else stole.
I think this computer has spent more time seeding than not, and I built it in 2010. Didn't get fiber until last year, I'm proud that I maintained a 1.5 ratio on a 300kbps down/75 up connection.
I haven't actually been downloading that much the past year or so.

I used to have a 15:1 ratio (up:down) before i wiped my disks
I was seeding for like, three weeks then my ISP started getting butthurt that my bandwidth was constantly taken up by my Tor node and the torrents so they started throttling me until I turned down the bandwidth usage. The theme of the tracker probably didn't help.

In my old server I had something like a 0.003 ratio with over 2TB downloaded but it's because in my country broadband doesn't get more than 1MB upload ever and mine is particularly horrible so my speedtest reads somewhere around 18.5Mb/s in download and 0.3 in upload.
If I don't limit my torrenting server to 4kb/s up then even with all possible QoS settings my internet becomes completely unusable.

I used to fuck around with private torrents and keeping a more than positive ratio but fuck that shit.
I still find what I want without private torrents and I don't have to deal with the rep/ratio bullshit.
I'd go back to multiple direct download links with multiple file parts while using something like Jdownloader before going back into private trackers if it came to that.
