So they pressure Netflix to uphold an efficient geoblocking. It's the old media powers trying to keep the system the way its always been. There is several ways and reasons to use a vpn.
One is for anonymity, here you would log into a vpn a lot of people uses and then all traffic will appear to be from the same source.
Another is for protection where you log into your own server and use that to route the traffic.
