I have a macbook pro but I'm honestly tired of the meme OS and poor compatibility with a shit ton of programs. If I were to sell it on Ebay, what would be a decent laptop to buy and use as a replacement? I primarily use it for taking notes in class.

I would like to get a new laptop for design work. The surface is too small. Macs are too expensive and Dell fucked me over with my current laptop. I would love to get another thinkpad because my x60 tablet was a fucking friend indeed(it still works) but don't thinkpads have malware on them?
