Why aren't you using a Pentium 4?

I'm so happy for them. They weren't born into a world where their parents didn't love them or weren't capable of providing a good future.

Okay mods, now can you please ban this motherfucking shitposting fucktard now?

We get his pentium 4 shitposting at least twice a day now. He might also be some kind of bot but I'm not sure.

Because our (the company I work for) struck a deal with Swedes.

We now have quad core Xeons (on a motherboard that supports TWO of the fucker), 8 gigs of ram and a serious-ass workstation graphics card.

But we run a SCADA system. P4s would still be good now. The servers do all the work.

We never exceed 10% load on a workstation.

Fuck HP, your equipment sucks ass and fails all the time.
Fuck Sweden, we have to have this shit stuff because we bought a shitty product from you

Those P4's we used to have still run the SCADA system no problem, but we are forced to upgrade?

Because my main board went up in smoke when I inserted a USB key. And could you throw yourself of a roof now?

Kind regards,

>o-oh god MOM he posted it again that's like ONE less thread about apple or girls in tech! fuck how am I supposed to spoonfeed gaymer plebs PC builds for free now????

What is it about these threads that make people so butthurt? Just filter them you fucking redditor, they're probably the easiest meme thread on the board to hide.

Because I'm using a far better Athlon 64 3000+ on Socket 754.

Don't get me wrong,I like both AMD and Intel, but the Prescott core puts out too much heat, and Northwood wasn't really that best. I'd say Gallatin was good. I went with AMD because it seems to be just like a mobile chip.

I would still built a Intel machine if given the chance though. As a matter of fact,my main PC is still running a P
>>
>>52403215
Ha, same here, I found an A64 3000+ in a garbage container recently.

But seriously, they weren't as bad as (clueless probably) people make them sound. They were worse than K8 but competetive.

My P4 is a 2,66 GHz Northwood though. And that bit about garbage is true, but it is socket 939.
>>
>>52403884
Huh,mine came with a Socket 754 EPoX board I got. It's pretty nice,nF3 chipset and all that stuff. And even better,it's not eating a shitload of power like my old ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe+P4 3GHz combo. It has a IDE drive though because I don't have any SATA cables left.
It's also pretty handy when softmodding classic Xboxes by the way. I've had a lot more luck with AMD machines than with Intel. Stuff's done under Linux, and takes about 20-30 minutes or so,depending on CD/DVD-ROM unit.
>>
>>52404042
This one was in a Biostar I think NF4U sock. 939 board. A bit silly one with a fake AGP slot, so I think I'm going to keep it in collection.
>>
Used to run a 2.66ghz northwood at 3.95ghz at -16*C with vapochill.

Good god i miss my vapochill. That shit was intense!

Biostar NF4ULA9?

I prefer Nvidia cards for my heating solutions thanks.

Just put a couple fermi cards SLI in my wife's son room, temperature went from 2°C to a healthier 20°, little Deshaun is pretty happy now.

I see that was from before they invented huge ass north-bridge/south-bridge coolers.

I can JUST imagine how much noise that tiny fan would make.

And it's the thing that will most likely die first aswell.
>>
>>52405600
It was in the time when we actually needed them tho. nForce chipsets were too power hungry (gen4 not that horribly, but gen5 was a pig) and the coolers were laughably bad. No passive heatsink to speak of and 5000-6000RPM 40mm fan.

Pic related is from A8n-e, batshit crazy crap.

Because I'm using a Pentium III.

Should I buy an Radeon 7500 or Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti500? Honestly I don't play much else than Counter Strike and Quake 2.

I hate those kind of tiny coolers. Graphics cards used to love them up the arse.

I have had plenty different motherboards, but I always avoided those with fans on the chipsets.

You seem to get uncontrollably angry at things you don't like on the internet, and that's bad for your health, so I offered you a solution to shelter you from them and make sure you only see the quality Apple news, gaming PC building tips and memes you like that you come here for. You bet, got a set of four 256MB sticks in this motherfucker.

A little laggy to scroll but otherwise a surprisingly good performer, to the point that I DD'd it all through 2013 while my W520 gathered dust on my desk.

Some update to the captcha is fucking around with this old version of Firefox now though, when I select images the checkboxes appear in the upper left corner of the block and I have to click from top to bottom otherwise it deselects them. Weird.
