No, it's comfy when driving or in the gym.
Nope. The internet speed where I work is terrible, so it's the only way to listen to BBC 6 Music whilst I'm there.
dont you have a job or something? radio is on here all day every day
In peoples homes its pretty much dead. The only people that listen are usually old or just have it on in the background.
If you've ever listened to a big radio station their predominant target audience are drivers.
It's convenient to jump in your car and switch the radio on. You get news, music and traffic updates.

I sometimes put the radio on in the kitchen when cooking etc. but yeah it's mainly in the car.
I have a USB port in my car and aux, but I usually can't be bothered to update it or make playlists, so just stick the radio on for the 20 min drive to work.
Radio is more alive than evermpv https://chiru.no:8081/stream.flac
It's the future son
Every radio station should be a digital FLAC broadcast

Awesome for Background music. I love listening to Hot AC channels while working.
AM/FM is here to stay, DAB+ hasn't been very successful so far.

Not exactly dead yet but it's pretty much there. Internet Radio will overtake it completely in like 5-10 years as more cars start getting built. Once enough user statistics are gathered to show that enough people are using XM radio and shit like spotify, they're going to stop putting AM/FM in cars. Only Hillbillies and old people will notice.

I listen to radio very sparingly. When I do, it's always talk radio or easy listening music.
I get triggered by advertisements, I hate hearing ads to the point where I have to turn off my car radio as soon as I hear them.

>his phone doesn't have an fm tuner
even muh moto /g/ 4g has that.
Really really wish i could get HD radio though, only my zune hd had that, which is small enough to carry along with my phone.
Nah, I still listen to live Radio on my phone. All stations should've transitioned to the internet years ago but it didn't for some reason. Hope it does soon. Maybe use stereo 96 kbps Opus too.

>wasting bandwidth
96kbps standard, 360kbps extreme quality.
If your bandwidth budget is that tight, you should see about upgrading from dialup.
I have a small sony shortwave radio
I live on the far east coast of Canada so I can't pick up anything exciting, but I always have fun with it when I travel
I can listen to any of the time channels all day, they're the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ph3OJDaq90
