I'm about to start my own lfs system, any words of advice?

My advice? Have fun!
>>52393667
take notes and share them when you're done

how long did it take you?
Don't, unless you enjoy having a system that's a literal chore to keep up to date.
Good luck and don't fuck it up
Have fun, and install a distro once you're done.
Seriously, it's a good learning experience but you don't want to be maintaining it forever.

Stop wasting your time and do something useful.
im very curious, can it be made small? like 1 gig for root? im struggling with gentoo on a small device, keep running out of space

Why couldn't you set up apt or another package manager on it?
I wanted to try it to experiment with different init systems, a different libc, maybe toybox and other things.
