Britbong that was looking for the same price range, the only real options for me are the 7559, Acer aspire nitro V, some of the clevo/sager models and a couple of UK-based customs who seemed to use clevos as a base
Not really sure how dell have managed to stuff the shit they have in mine at this price point, expecting some really janky Chinese build quality but I don't give a fuck as long as it functions and I can fix it

I recently bought this one, more spec'd out than the one you are looking at and I'm liking it. Had it for a few days, about to put fallout4 on it to check it out. It's also 4k screen so the scaling can be bothersome if you are using it for school. And this model is more expensive than yours. I can put it at 1080 and it helps.

this anon is right. on battery I would switch to the intigrated intel video. Wouldn't recommend gaming on battery. I jerked off to some 4k porn in the bathroom for about 10minute or so and it took it down by over 20%, using the 960m obviously.

My only niggle is that i got a SSHD instead of a full-on SSD - the 8gb ram is in a single channel which is peak but as there's space for another one it'll work out better once I nab one

Yeah, the 4k is probably a meme, but I got it for shit's and giggles. I watch a lot of movies, especially when traveling. And with 4k starting to be released soon as the norm for movies, it is perfect for my needs. It doesn't seem to struggle on vlc with a couple of tweeks.
