How much ram do you need on your Android phone to be able to run Facebook, Messenger, Whatsapp and IRC without lag?
I have 1GB on my current LG android phone and it takes about 15 FUCKING SECONDS to switch between the apps i mentioned earlier. Im wondering whether it's worth paying $50 more for 3GB ram instead of 2GB

iPhone 4, iOS 7, 512 MB, almost does not lag at all with 5-6 apps open.

Well I bought that 768 mb laptop in 2002 so it was fairly decent. It lasted me 11 years.
I used to be an Android fan boy but holy shit I tried a 6s and let me tell you this feels when you say that once you go black you never go back. So once you go iOS you will never go back to lagdroid.
2gb will do it, if it doese,t then you have to root the phone and change the low memory killer thresholds

5Gb is the minimum recommended, for myself i went with 8Gb and it's still a little laggy but tolerable.
Use the Facebook Lite app. Get it off apkmirror. I don't know about Whatsapp but it's probably shit. Maybe you can fin alternative app that works. IRC just use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fusionx.lightirc&hl=en
