I can't manage to extend my wifi.
I have:
Internet -> Modem/router (connected with wifi and ethernet to other pcs) -> router (connected with ethernet to other pcs but wifi doesn't work).
I can't fucking isolate the problem. The second router is completely transparent. Bridge mode, no nat, no firewall, no upnp, dhcp disabled.
First router is 192.168.1.1 and gives ips in the 192.168.1.100-200 range, the second router is 192.168.1.2. Subnet mask is the same for both of course.
There is connectivity on the second router, but not over wifi. Tried with same SSID, with different SSID, with either different channels or autoscan. I tried to lower the signal a bit so that they would not overlap at all in some areas of my home. I don't use wps.
It doesn't work and I can't get why. Wifi devices are assigned an ip and the wifi signal seems to be optimal, but nothing loads.

Built a new PC but kept the hard drive the same as my last built, pretty much everything has changed except for the drive I use to boot Windows. I'm getting this BSOD which is apparently HDD related.

I'll use my build as an example. I had this problem using a laptop HDD in a desktop years ago. I found an easy fix. If you were using 8.1 Windows can automatically adjust for this problem (not important, just saying this was fixed)
I'm sure you're familiar with device manager. The drivers for your CPU (pic) are preventing you from booting Windows. You need to get into Windows, right click uninstall all displayed, shutdown and startup in the new build.
The new proper drivers initialized. The only way I know you can get into Windows is through the old build, I'm not sure how you could do it now. Maybe safe mode? But you know what needs to be done

I've been running Mint Cinnamon for a while now, and it works great. I just found a very nice setting where pressing CTRL shows where the mouse pointer is.
However now whenever I attempt to switch tabs in the file explorer via CTRL + TAB, nothing happens.
Other applications, such as Firefox behave normally. Is there a workaround so I can have both features?

I think my motherboard is fucked, /g/. The RAM slots are acting weird. It's a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SOC, and when I turn the machine on, I get a continuous beeping until the machine decides to reset and begin the process anew. This happened about a year ago and I was completely lost, so I called their tech support and it was apparently RAM-related. It's happening again.
The machine only fully POSTs and boots when a single stick is in either slot 2 or 3, having two sticks in 0/2 or 1/3, or having a single stick in either 0 or 1 causes the continuous beeping. I've tried two different sets of memory and it's the same thing. Do I need to RMA the board? This would be the second time in two years.

Thought DDR4 was negligible or redundant unless you're doing heavy-duty video editing. I'll keep hunting for reliable and affordable DDR3 16GB memory. For some reason Logical Increments only lists DDR4 for that size, and at much higher tiers.

How does one prepare a windows 10 PC for a linux distro such as Apricity? I've managed to boot up the live cv via USB but when I went to install it having made a a linux swap partition etc it doesn't install correctly and fails when I click next.

Are you talking about just for customizing the launcher? If so, there's an option for it in Nova Launcher settings, if you're not using Nova it's highly recommended for ricing. Otherwise, to disable it everywhere, you will need a special rom or mod like gravitybox which will grant you extra settings (although i dont know why you would want that)

My pc is not letting me boot from usb/ cd. I have usb and cd booting enabled in the bios and I have a bootable Linux usb in my usb port as well as a bootable Linux cd in my cd drive. It does not recognize either, it just says no bootable device-insert boot disk and press any key when I try to boot into either of the bootable devices. How do I get around this?

So, my VGA started acting really strangely, the "Nvidia Driver has stopped working" is happening all the time (and I did the little registry fix everyone talks about) but most of the time everything just freezes for some seconds and when it comes back, there's some static on the screen.
My home computer VGA is pretty old, a 9600GT, so I don't ignore the hardware problem possibility, but I suspect (and I'm by no means an expert, obviously) that it can be a problem with the last updates, since I heard 9600GT stopped being supported by recent drivers, yet it install new updates all the time.
Is there a way to know the best driver version for my VGA? Or it will probably not work?

Test1.java is a test for LetterInventory.java--it feeds it test1.txt. Why doesn't it think test.txt is in the same damn directory? In the tree to the left it shares the same directory as LetterInventory.java and Test1.java. Thunar says it's in the same directory.
I figure it's an Eclipse problem. It looks like LetterInventory.java and Test1.java are in the "default package;" test1.txt can't be copied into there. Is the "default package" some sort of invisible pseudo-directory just for Eclipse?

but when you say you want to use it for anime, in what sense? Many torrent clients have a rss reader built in that allows you to autoDL torrents from rss feeds, is that what you want or do you just want to be notified.
Personally I use rss feeds for just about everything to avoid actually going on sites since more often than not I only care about a subset of their information. Saves me the time of going there and checking shit, even on 4chan, it allows me to be notified of threads of interest since some of the anime I like don't often get threads.
