A couple things, 1. I can't actually tell the difference between any of the MacType configs and 2. Messing around with the antialias tuner is all trial and error because none of it makes sense

all distros should work okay if you can make them boot - some 64 bit core 2 duo macs with 32 bit EFI have trouble with that. I've got an install disc custom-built for booting 64 bit debian on it if thats the case.
Let me know. If yours was made in at least '07, you can probably use a normal install disc without issues. Just check if your model needs special Apple webcam firmware before you wipe. If it does, copy that from OS X and then install it once your linux install is done. I've got a copy of the iSight firmware too - only older macs need special webcam firmware.

I've seen the opposite on my own hardware. Lower battery life, glitches out of nowhere (with Linux you eventually figure the glitches were your fault for not reading the manuals before doing something stupid), driver quality is similar, except GPU. No gaems though.

Well I got this fucking laptop before I was enlightened by /g/ on tech knowledge. I am stuck with it because I don't replace my shit till its broken. I took to the market to see they can put a better 1920x1080 panel but apparently my Intel GPU does not support resolution above 1366x768 due to some bandwidth issue.

Pressing Win+Shift+Space toggles bug.n's inbuilt toolbar, and also changes top desktop margin to auto-fit all windows in the current view. That said, Firefox's window goes up a few pixels. Still, there's a tiny bit of wallpaper in between Blackbox's SystemBarEx, which I want to hide by either stretching Blackbox's bar or reducing Firefox's bars' height. What do? In this screenshot I stretcked Blackbox's bar, but I'm not sure if it's better than shrinking Firefox's.
