I signed up to Tutanota recently. IMO best of the lot.
Open-source all the way.
Based in Germany.
Nice UI.
Good looking Android and iOS apps.

https://tutanota.com/
https://app.tutanota.de/#login

Other than that, these were options;
https://www.hushmail.com/
https://mail.riseup.net/rc/
https://mail.yandex.com
https://www.ghostmail.com/
https://protonmail.com/login
https://www.openmailbox.org/
https://bitmessage.ch/roundcube/?_task=mail&_mbox=INBOX
>>
Protonmail routes all traffic through Mossad servers.
>>
Tutanota is pretty great, and you can easily even have it on your own personal webserver. everything is encrypted so tutanota can't see your emails it is easy to send encrypted emails. and it is open source and free. Also Germany is the only western country apart from iceland where being pro-privacy and pro-encryption is not political suicide. politicians are expected to protect privacy rights.

>Based in Germany.
german authorities love the NSA.

if you want somewhat secure mail, run your own.
>>
>>52343569
And it is Switzerland based. Which have good privacy laws, but the people dislike all this privacy and consider it a Islamist plot because privacy is important in Sharia laws so they will likely change that in the near future so their laws is not so islamic.

>german authorities love the NSA.

It is the western country that likes them LEAST you dumb cuck. It was highly controversial when the german secret service found out that the NSA was spying on Angela Merkel.

Being pro-spying in germany is like being a open homosexual in saudi arabia. Not strictly illegal (you have to actually have done some gay sex to be punished in saudi) but very close.

Citation needed.

What's the fucking catch /g/.
Spit it out.
You guys are always shitting all over what appears too obviously good.
Get right to it so I can continue on my miserable unending search.

If it's so good, why don't you talk about it often? I never see it mentioned

I am not him (this is me >>52343603
), but it is true, after they got hacked/ddosed from Israel they started routing all their emails through israeli servers connected to the Israeli millitary (IDF). Which makes no sense unless it is a agreement not to ddos anymore.

>If it's so good, why don't you talk about it often? I never see it mentioned

Because there is no real controversy
>>
>>52343711
Damn... And I thought you could trust Switzerland...
>>
>>52343760
Only if it comes to your bank accounts.
>>
>>52343623
wut. it was controversial for the public, sure. but the BND never gave a fuck and the government didn't care what the BND did either.
the whole NSA-Untersuchungsausschuss is a big fucking joke. nothing's happening and the CDU/SPD are constantly pushing for more surveillance everywhere.
>>
>>52343765
Apparently so... But I wonder, why Mossad but not the NSA?
>>
>>52343688
>>52343711
They do not route all emails through the Israeli company, they only divert traffic when under a DDoS attack.
>>
>>52343788
This is all tin-foil-country, so don't take it too seriously.
The DDoS that took ProtonMail down last year was orchestrated by the IDF. Some generous offer from Israel came in. ProtonMail accepted and the DDoS stopped.
It was just a matter of "first come, first serve".
>>
>>52343927
Again, citation needed. Not trolling, just want more information.
>>
>>52344050
Maybe you should actually read the already provided citations before spouting wikipedia maymays. See >>52343688
>>
>>52344089
I did, but how can I be sure that they don't actually route their email through Mossad?
>>
>>52344136
By viewing the mail's header and using something like http://www.ip2location.com/free/email-tracer to see a graphical representation of what server touched your mail?
>>
>>52344185
Thanks.
>>
>>52343765
>Only if it comes to your bank accounts.

Well, the Swiss people want to change that because fear of jihadists.
>>
>>52343660
learn to google idiot.
There were threads and threads about this for weeks here.
>>
>>52344136
>but how can I be sure that they don't actually route their email through Mossad?

Because the servers they route their info through is owned by the IDF if you look at the owners. And the IDF is the Israeli millitary, not Mossad.
>>
>>52344547
Factually wrong. While no DDoS occurs, their traffic isn't tunneled anywhere.
During DDoS attacks they'll tunnel their traffic through a german server.
Take a look at https://protonmail.com/support/knowledge-base/protonmail-israel-radware/ and try IP tracing for yourself.
