My oneplus one finally crapped out on me. The touchscreen stopped working on about a third of the screen, making it basically useless.

Anyways, I'm looking for a new phone I can find for under $400 with decent specs, removable battery, big screen, 1080p, SD card slot, and IP67/IP68. I'm looking at the Sony Xperia Z3 right now, but it doesn't have a removable battery. What are my other options?
>>
>>52340942
The battery lasts a long while so you shouldn't have to worry about a removeable battery. Consider a LG G2, LG G3, or Samsung S5?
>>
>>52340942
If your on at&t or tmobile then the ZenFone2
>>
>>52341043
Any downsides to this phone?
>>

Not OP but I've had mine since September. I love the thing, can't wait to get Android 6.0
>>
s5 mines going strong since 2014

Goddamn you people have low standards.

I never dropped my phone. I just picked it up after work and it wasn't working.
>>
If you had bought an Xperia Z from the beginning, it wouldn't have crapped out on you. Best Android line on the market ever since it came out.

I own the Z3 for a year now. The battery is fucking epic, I'm running the Marshmallow beta on my device and thanks to android doze it lasts 3 days with my usage easily. It's a whole new using experience when you don't have to care about your battery because there is always enough left. The only downside of this device is that it's actually pretty fragile so I would definitely recommend using a case or something like that.

>pic is battery life
>>
>>52341203
And your reading comprehension is bad, too.

Go for any Xperia Z starting from the 2 and up. You can even buy second hand with warranty.
>>
>>52341239
The Z2 is a better phone overall, especially when you take into consideration that the battery life, camera AND build quality are all better than the Z3.
>>
>>52340942
Pawn some shit and get the LG V10. Nothing compares.

THIS.

Can confirm. I've owned a Z2 for the last year. Best €299 I've ever spent.

Perhaps the greatest phone ever created

>>52340942 i habe the xperia z2 and its just epic everything is amazing i promise buy z2 or save up a bit more and buy z3
>>
I was looking at the z5. Other than the crotchdragon 810, why is no one recommending the latest and greatest?

Is there something else I don't know??

Idol 3.

unless you're on verizon with a locked bootloader

How's the battery life on the S5?

This is the only place I can find to buy the Z2 for a decent price, but it seems sketchy. I'm on AT&T. Will this one come with a warranty?

The build quality is inconsistent.
I've had 3, only the last one was actually waterproof.
>>
how much did they improve the camera in the z5, guys? the z3 is pretty bad
>>
>>52347622

Significantly.

Pretty much the main reason I can't convince myself to get a Z3c even for the excellent price.

All that lovely camera hardware wasted on horrific camera algorithms.
>>
>>52348100
ah, that's good to hear. looking to upgrade from my z3 sometime soon. was so disappointed with its camera; it's pretty much impossible to take pictures in low light settings.
>>
>>52340942
Did this problem happened randomly or did you drop it? Mine suddenly did the same and I installed a new ROM and problem solved.
>>
>>52349397
It just happened, and it's most definitely a hardware issue, as the problem still happens in recovery and after resetting the phone.
>>
>>52346068
Anyone???
>>
YAY! My phone finally died so I won't be judged for getting a new one.
I hate having money on my accounts

I've had my 1+1 for almost two years now, I bought it in spring 2014 for $300.

I've dropped it like ten times, out of those I broke the screen twice and once I broke it when I was at gym. So I've changed my 1+1's screen three times in two years. It's easy and cheap, you can find screens for 1+1 as little as $30 including shipping, but I prefer buying those "oem" screens with a frame, so just screw your old phones shit to new one in 30minutes and voila, youre done.

It's a pretty good phone, after all. After 6p was a letdown, I'm kinda not in a hurry replacing this.

Z3c user here. Confirmed.

BTW, the battery isn't hard to replace at all if that's what you're concerned about. Look up the videos.

Can't wait for the Z6c
>>
>>52348100
Are you using stock software? Most of the roms on xda implement z5's camera software for the z3.

wait, can you get an aosp rom (like cyanogen derivative) WITH a good camera in sony's phones?

I'm interested. I want simply: NFC, microSD, aosp roms+root, good camera
>>
>>52340942
Moto X Play, or any of the Moto X/G series are brilliant phones. Stock Android so little to no bloatware, the X Play has two day battery life and they're really decent for their price too.

I'm not into the intricacies of Android so I don't know the specifics of how/where this works
>>
>this BLU Life One X seems pretty cool for a cheap new phone

But of course, I'm not sure why I even expected to find a decent cheap phone in europe.
>>
>>52340942
I picked up an LG G3 factory refurbished for $300 on Amazon. I love it. I mainly wanted it for the amazing screen and great photos it takes.
>>
Not OP but Asus Zenfone 2 or LG G3?
