no now fuck off
>>

>>
>>52338440
Buy lots of them.
>>
>>52338440
Pray to allah
>>
>buying lottery tickets
why?
>>
>>52338440
But a ticket in every number combination
>>
Install Gentoo
>>
>>52338484
>not buying at least one lottery ticket a month
>>
>>52338440
>1/175,000,000
There, just buy 175 million tickets and win $800M
>>
>>52338440
I have never won anything at Powerball; that's why I never buy tickets.
>>
I feel like winning the lottery would fuck up your life. Everyone coming after you for your money. Fuck that tb.h family
>>
>>52338556
But then the odds will be 1/2
>>
>>52338496
>burning money
I guess it is nice that you have that disposable income feeding the lottery 'legit' scams
>>
>>52338496
That would cost you more than the lump sum
>>
>>52338565
It's like $2 for a chance of never having to work again in your life

>>52338575
You don't have 24 dollars extra a year?
>>
>>52338572
what? If you are buying every possible combination of the numbers then your possibility of winning is 100%
>>
>>52338569
I'd be curious to know how many lottery winners get robbed, unless you mean family and friends asking for money which i guess would also be a concern
>>
>>52338601
That's why you go full anon and separate the money into many bank accounts and pay for a bullet proof suit+conceal carry license
>>
>>52338586
why would I burn $24 in something that is a well known scam? This people make so much money out of the dreaming idiots that pay for the ticket that to avoid issues with the IRS they MUST donate a portion of it to charities and scholarships.
>>
>>52338633
>MUST donate a portion of it to charities
The Horror, you're still left with something in the end
>>
>>52338601
Yeah, I mean like people either begging you or suing you to get a piece of the action. Maybe even people you never met before.

If I ever won the lottery, I'd donate most or maybe even all of it to a worthy cause just to troll people and get them to leave me alone.

"You need to buy just over 175,223,510 tickets to guarantee a win by buying every single combination. "
>>
>>52338601
It depends on the prize AND the publicity you get as a result of it, if you become well known as the jackpot winner then, yeah, there is a chance someone dear to the winner will get kidnapped or something.
Most of the time, winners of large prizes end up back to having zero due to poor money management skills so criminals have a very small window to cash on the 'winner' before the prize is burned up in luxuries.
>>
>>52338440
the american lottery is terrible since you pay tax on it and you don't get it all immediately in one big lump sum
>>
>>52338717

You can get it either as an annual (or monthly?) payment or as a lump sum. Lump sum is always the best option despite the ridiculous tax rate.
>>
>>52338717
you can get an annuity or a lump sum, the issue is that lump sum hits you with like 60% tax (in the US) and annuities are limited to the 'winner' lifespan: if the winner dies, the lottery no longer has an obligation to pay the prize to anyone.

Depressed schizophrenic here, it only takes one combination of numbers to win the jackpot so what is the point in buying more than 1 ticket. If I won I would send my grandmother on a vacation that would let her see everything she wants to before she dies and move to a remote area in Montana with my family as I am most comfortable when I'm at home without the worry of work or school.
>>
And you stupid motherfuckers told me not to play, won $4, suck my shit douche nuggets

Reminder that gambling is sinful and you buy lottery tickets you will have to repent or answer to God

>60% tax

Holy shit fattystan
>>
>>52339153
wow, 4 whole dollars
that almost covers for the gas you used to drive to the gas station to buy your ticket and the time you wasted in driving over to buy your ticket.
>>
>>52339230
I walked and got a drink refill thanks
>>
>>52339227

The highest federal tax rate in the US is just under 40%.
>>
>>52339531
Sure, but then the state and the city want their cut.

In any case, taking the lump sum (and taking the massive tax hit) is only worthwhile if the amount you win would be a ridiculous number you'd never otherwise make in your life.

If it was 2 million dollars, or 5, or really anything less than 20, I would take a monthly/yearly pay out.
>>
>>52338440
No, you dumb shit.
>>
>>52338680
You're already counting money you're never going to win. Good job.
>>
>>52339180
Reminder that anime is sinful and if you buy or download OVAs you will have to repent or answer to God
>>
>>52338670
which will cost you 350 mil which is literally 40 million less than you would get with the cash option after taxes, anyone rich enough to do this wouldn't bother as it's not worth the headache.
>>
>>52339684
Don't forget if someone else also wins you only get half of the pot.
>>
>>52339807
>>52339759
>>52339684
It's basically impossible to obtain that many tickets anyways as a single person
>>
>>52339759
but you're guaranteed millions of $4 prizes, hundreds of thousands of $7 prizes and a bunch of $50,000 and million dollar prizes.
>>
>>52338480
Gambling is haram. Though god sometimes will grant you your ill wish as a... bane.
>>
I dint win
>>
>>52339820
considering that's like 40% of the tickets that were sold nationwide, probably
>>
>>52338569
>Everyone coming after you for your money.
That would provide countless years of entertainment for me, from them doing work and shooing them away at the end
>>
>>52338913
>it only takes one combination of numbers to win the jackpot so what is the point in buying more than 1 ticket
because buying two tickets would DOUBLE your change to land the set of numbers required to win
>>
>>52338440

No one won. The jackpot is now $1.3 Billion
>>
>>52339855
If this actually worked, why hasn't anyone blown $1,000,000 in tickets and tripled their investment?
Why aren't there companies devoted to gaming the lottery?
>>
>murder the winner before they sign their ticket
>take ticket
>>
>>52340991
That is how most big jackpots are won
