If you really and truly need to play vidya on a laptop for whatever reason and can't have a desktop then maybe consider a laptop with a desktop 980. A 380 should fit your needs. It's mid-tier, but should be able to effortlessly play every 1080p game you throw at it with decent settings.
You never 'need' an aftermarket cooler unless you OC, but it gives you lower temps (better on your hardware, could prevent thermal throttling if you have overheating issues) and is much quieter. You can find good ones for 20-30$, so they're not that big of an investment. If you replace your cooler you'll also need thermal paste.

Nearly every aftermarket cooler comes with some. Even the memtastic hyper evo 212 comes with a tube of the stuff.

The difference between thermal paste brands is what, 3 degrees tops? Unless yo uare balls-to-the-wall overclocking it doesn't matter. Besides if you are balls to the wall you'd have a D15 and noctua's paste is the best.
