sennheiser MX 170. the cheapest ones they have.
sure the sound quality isn't great but for me in-ears are just too fragile to buy expensive ones. They wear down very quick if you carry them around a lot and I wouldn't want to spend 100 bucks 1-2 times a year.
>>
>>52332169
Pistons 3.

They're a good meme desu
>>
Some guy at Best Buy recommended that I get some Klipsch r6 earbuds. Are they worth it?
>>
Going to buy them too
Are they good? Anyone got em?
Using cx300ii right now.
>>
>>52332459
this, they're excelente
>>
I use soundmagic e10's. They could charge a hell of a lot more for the sound quality. One of the few good memes here.
>>
I use etyomtics HF5. They're alright, a bit uncomfortable. Gonna return em
>>

audio technica cks99, its awesome upgrade after cx300ii
>>
>>52332753
>>52332507

own a sennheiser momentum and an audio technica ath-cks99. If you want better bass, go for audio technica. But sound clarity is better on the sennheisers. I use both depending on the music I'm listening to. Both are real great tho

Xiaomi Piston 3's and SOL Jax, i'm stingy about these things

Piston 3's are good but barely any bass if you like that or not. Wouldn't recommend if you listen to a lot of electronic

m6p. Sound quality isn't great but I stop caring after starting my workouts. Probably going to pick up another pair of the PS Vita IEMs or piston 3s for casual listening.

really wanted a pair of those then i found sony XBA-C10's for £12.
>>
I use Shure se215's. I play keyboards in my band which doesn't involve a lot of movement, so I can use a small Alesis mixer as a receiver.
>>
>>52333783
M6's are phenomenal budget IEMs and really comfy even with triple flange tips.
>>
>>52333953
I dunno about the flanges. Maybe I need to get used to triple flanges but they feel really uncomfortable. The sound quality also varies a lot if the earphones move during my workout (the phones themselves don't really move or fall out but for some reason it sounds like there's suddenly nothing but low bass when I'm in certain positions but goes to normal when I return to a standard position.
>>
Shure SE215 + UE900 mic cable
>>
>>52334786
it could be the tips moving, you could give comply tips a go as they form to your ear canals,

i'm just use to triple flange tips as i use koss sparkplugs for a while and they got real deep, like touch your brain deep.
>>
>>52332388
Same here, they're fucking awesome for the price. Are there any "premium" in ears that aren't earbuds? What the term for these kinds of earphones?
>>
Philips SHE9000 and Pistons 3
>>
>>52334874
I don't know what you mean by "premium earbuds". If you're looking for sound quality, you're almost never going to touch earbuds and go for IEMs instead.
>>
i have the sennheiser momentum, they're great. before that i was using the sennheiser cx400 and cx400ii, which had better bass, but worse midrange.
i'm no expert, but i would recommend the momentums

I use a bunch of KZ IEM (HDS1, ED3, DT3, ...) and also Xiaomi Pistons 3.

If you ask me, get some of them instead. They're about all $5-15 and better than most shit people pay ridiculous monies for.
>>
>>52332169

i have a pair. the sound is good but you have to get used to the weight/how they sit in your ear.
>>
>>52334872
Thanks anon, I'll give them a shot when I have some money. I think I'll stick to single flanges though since I need the environmental awareness while biking.
>>
>>52332666
You should consider getting some black olive foam tips for them, they're the comfiest I've used for any IEM and fit the HF5 perfectly.
>>
what's a decent pair of earbuds/in-ears that are durable? i don't mind if the sound quality isn't spectacular, im sick of having to get new earbuds every couple of months from them using cheap chink wire

Objectively the best in-ears ever.
>8/10 sound
>Easiest bluetooth pairing

>water resistant (handles rain and sweat without problems)

1. 9KZ:ED9 ( using the non bass nozzle )
2. Piston 3

I love both but me and my brother came to a conclusion after listening to one song. The KZ: ED9 is cleaner, I can tell the difference playing my midi keyboard straight away.

The KZ:ED9 is the best IEM I have ever tried

Shure SE215. Love them.

They werk really well for me and I love the form and how they hang over the ears and refuse to fall out even while running/lifting weights.

Hey OP this is what your pic relateds will look like if you use pockets, and not the case.
Cable flares easily as fuck and is honestly just bad, and the pods come of way too easily, making you lose them.
Sound is great though.
>>
>>52336124
why not just use the case they come with.
>>
>>52336124
Not good for running then eh ?

>>
>>52335432
Yes, Aliexpress is where I bought the KZ.

I bought most Xiaomis in various stores (banggood, gearbest, geekbuying and more...) to present away 'cause they just look really good with their box and stuff. I can't really remember which I used for the ones I use now.

> What is your favourite so far, between the KZs and Piston 3
I like some KZ better overall, but I alternate 'cause it's more fun.

I have my little IEM boxes with 2 each, and just pick up one and use it for a day or a week or whatever, then I switch.

> say, for classical music?
Try KZ ED3 or HDS1 for starters.

ED3 has little bass though. Even with classical music, some people really like their drums and basses in the lows to sound bombastic - I myself generally just need it to be there somewhat, but not very pronounced.
>>
Soundmagic e80s, excellent sound for it's price.
>>
What model of KZ has the most basses?
>>
>>52336372
Not sure, 'cause I avoided the bassy models.

ZS1 and ATE-S were reported as very bassy, you can probably find more with your search engine.
>>
Been using a pair of red Sennheiser CX3.00 for over a year. Best audio quality and sound dampening I have experienced. Just wondering how they compare to some of the IEM being mentioned in this thread. Can I do better for the same price? (~£25)
>>
any cheap DAC you can suggest?
>>
If I were to get another set of expensive buds, I'd use the case. I just found it a hassle to carry the fairly big case on my body

Have you tried these while exorcising? I had my eyes on this brand a while back while I was training to run and heard good things about them.
>>
>>52336173
Not so good for sports no, great sound quality, build quality not so much.
>>
Are the SE215 any good?

I'm looking for a pair of IEMs which are durable and have good sound quality for about 100$ (give and take a few tens of bucks).

Is there anything better than the SE215 at about the same price? They seem very sturdy ones.
>>
>>52332169
Piston 2.
Very boomy bass at first, but without much subbass. EQ'ed it down to make it bearable. Now they're burned in and they sound pretty good, but I am missing a little bit of clarity in the mids a lot of the time.
>>
>>52335059
This. I'm really enjoying my kz ate.

What do I do to make my earphones last longer? I mostly listen to music in the bed and I go through earphones like clothes. I'm forced to buy cheap 5$ Chinese earphones (which are not bad at all for the price actually) because I'm a messy fuck and break them too often. I have started to hot glue the joints

>pic related, mom's earphones that I use, notice the hot glue
>>
>>52336749
I have used them a lot while jogging and biking. They're pretty good, the wings make them stay in your ears better, but I find them weird so I just use them like normal in-ears and they do the job pretty well.

Buy some Xiaomi / KZ with kevlar cables or something.

Or hang them around over the back of your ears / use a cable clip to attach them to your shirt.

I'm using the gr07 bass edition, they were just okay at the beginning but after a while they burned in and started sounding super good

What's a good IEM with controls that is less than $100?

Seems people like Pistons 3. I skipped it to buy Pistons Hybrid on Gearbest since all reviews that I've seen has good review. They say it's better than pistons 3. It's still shipping though. I can't wait to try it.

I own two pairs of these. Theyre so good for the price. I prefer the sound signature of the HD650 at home, and this is the closest I have found at a cheap price. Hard to beat. They're really light weight and durable as well.
