Amoled will never be a sustainable solution for displays. The organic component makes it unfit for making products that need to last at least a few years.
If Amoled were a good solution, Apple would have already shiped amoled phones. Guess what, they didn't and they are investing into researching how to increase the longevity of amoled displays. Which shows they don't trust them yet for a real product. Which, again, shows there is a real issue with amoled screens.
