If you're talking about TRIM on SSDs, you're wrong. If a sector is not cleared before new data is written, then it will need to be cleared first before the sector can be written to with new data. Spinning rust is different in this regard.
TRIM does this proactively because it improves overall performance whereas if it were left to be done when the sector is needed it would reduce performance.

Wrong. Fragmentation is an issue because of meta data. It causes CPU spikes and a slight decrease of the performance.
A good filesystem will be almost immune to fragmentation, SSD or not.
