i can't even load their page without allowing first and third party scripts. i would not trust a company that cares so little about the security and privacy of its users

FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAROOS for a block of wood and a cell phone in a laptop with a Lenovo Bluetooth keyboard slapped in.

That's absolutely gorgeous, but so thick. And unless they are planning to sell compatible upgrade parts for ten+ years, not worth it.

Imagine, three years from now, 128 core 64 bit ARM motherboards, with 1TB RAM, 12TB of SSD onboard become standard in Chromebooks. They get 10 hours of runtime off of a single 18650 battery. and your heirloom laptop can't be upgraded past what it is in 2016..

Talking about laptops, Xiaomi seems to be making a laptop that's running Linux. Some store is selling it for $710 USD

Would it really be so hard to carefully measure thinkpad internals and create a wood case given you have power tools available?

Very, very similar design to Apple's laptops. It seems to even have it's own connector KEK

the point is for the hardware to be open as well.

>The “laptop” model costs $1,995 and adds a battery controller board, a 3000 mAh battery pack and a 240GB solid state drive.
>You'd still have to supply your own mouse and keyboard.
>>
>>52262317
Now your fancy laptop costs $6000.

If you faggots have to ask the price, then you obviously can't afford it.

>>52262580
I'm sure it shitposts just as well as any rig. If you can afford nice things, why not get something comfy?
>>
>>52263147
Naw nigga, the hole beneath the keyboard is a built-in fingerbox/ access to the system. You lift the keyboard out
>>
>>52265426
>built-in fingerbox
Well, in that case at $5000 it's a steal. Just hoping it's not a chinese knock off fingerbox.
