Just tore apart an old gateway, salvaged the power supply, disc drive, wifi card, and hard drive (reform for dual boot later). This is what remains of the discarded frame and mobo. Also tech torture thread.

Just fried my PCI-X slot. Shit was burning only seconds after I switched it on. Was an old USB 1.1 card that I was going to use for a mouse. I think it drew too much current or shorted somehow.
