Do you use a Desktop environment or a Window manager? Or do you use both?

fluxbox
Xmonad, because what the fuck else am I gonna do with this knowledge of Haskell
i3, no bar, no titles, because fuck it, everything runs in terminals anyways
i3wm
because it just works
Bspwm's sole purpose is to create aesthetically pleasing window arrangements for desktop screenshots and give the user something to brag about in minimalist IRC communities

Wow ur liek so cool, fuck those people with their niche hobbies, you're much more interesting with your non riced desktop!!
Tell me, do you also insult musicians that play just for fun, non professionally, does the thought of having fun make you uncomfortable?
I use CDE on my Toshiba Facebook machine.
>>52255687
This, except I don't know Haskell.

I should add that xmonad is God tier when it comes to multi-monitor setups — main reason I use it.
i3wm
>>52255557
i3-wm because I have neither time nor patience to learn how to rice a WM
If I had, I'd use Stumpwm
>>52257230
I find I really like the tiling set up. I really am much faster with out a mouse.
Windowmaker > *

Doesn't that imply it's better than itself?
What's a better choice for a laptop:
Tilling or stacking?
>>52257951
It is
I3wm of course... I switch to lxde when someone else has to use my laptop
>>52257970
One of the reasons I use i3 is the ability to switch between them quickly. I have a wide screen on mine (x220), so I can display two terminals side by side and have both be > 80 chars wide, so for coding I often have a main window on one side of my screen and a stack on the other.
I also find tabbed windows useful, but I know some people dislike them because they make it hard to see window titles. I don't really mind though.

>using a shitty bloated WM just for rice
I use i3, fucking desktop threadder.
Mate
Enjoyed the corporate feel of gnome2
2bwm best wm
Bspwm is also nice
