1TB of space that grants quick access.
What exactly are you expecting, OP?

more than 100 I/Os per second?

SSDs only matter when
> sustaining over ~100MB/s reads or writes
> something needs to open a shitload of tiny files scattered everywhere and not already in block cache

not everybody frequently hits those scenarios outside of boot time, but it's nice if you need it.

>>52252066

Gsame as having a 1 year warranty on a bullet.

Or a 1k year one on a human life

Make sure you at least have 3tb of HDDs.

You need to backup your SSDs almost daily to counter balance the ionic decay.

But ya congrats bro. SSDs are fast as fuck if you can manage the downsides.

Honestly, mechanical drives should be phased out at this point. Clunky shit that's not needed anymore.
>>
>>52254238

Mechanical drives that are 40 quid can last for a decade. Can the same be said for SSDs?
>>
>>52254614
>can last for a decade

They probably won't. Yeah you might have an HDD from the 90s, but you'll find that most HDD'S of the same age (or older) are dead or obsolete.
Also, you could just boot your SSD every week or something, and it'll last a decade.
The only advantage HDD's have over modern SSD's is price (enterprise SSD's are supposed to last, though I suppose that's not proven yet), and that won't be true for long.
