Why are so many people blaming 4chan on their failiures? It's not like you would do anything productive anyway.
4chan has been actually a miracle for me. I was underage (yeah) when i first started lurking here. Then i was a little bit weird and socially awkward. Not many friends and never invited anywhere. If not for 4chan, i probably would transform into a neet. Thanks to this site, i realized that being like this is NOT okay, and became scared of the vision of still being a virgin at the age of 30. I stopped playing videogames, started being less weird, more social and interesting (started browsing /mu/ too which gave me 3 new friends).
Still a virgin too but at least not a kissless one now, and i have many friends. I'm 18 now so that still might change.
Also: /r9k/ is terrible, don't ever go on there

This is why I lurk 4chan. If you can see through the memes and extract information from anons 4chan is a great source of learning new stuff. That is why I think memes are art and it's amazing how much really good stuff is hidden behind being "just a meme" around here.
I admit handling 4chan is not easy and you can easily fall into to shitposting and procrastinating your whole day on it but if you just lurk and gain experience of the culture you will get a special "meme vision" and clearly see what 4chan has to offer to you.
