Just saw the first 3 eps this morning.
Story - better than expected, but many aspects destroy the suspension of disbelief due to the uneven quality of writing.
Tech stuff they just seem to be cramming in buzzwords and stuff that even non /g/ men should be familiar enough with that they don't need special mentions
Cinematography - I'm a film maker and this looks like the DOP's and colourist's first project and it looks awful, just painful to watch, also the use of diagetic and non-diagetic sound is poorly realised, badly recorded and hamfisted. Utter lack of racial diversity and tokens given nothing at all to say or do is insulting in 2016. The premise is interesting but, honestly, it's a hugely mishandled project and the writing goes from just about OK to cringeworthy.
Slater, whilst good on stage, proves once again he has no place in front of a camera any longer.
Whilst not a homophobe, the gratuitous buttsex means I can't show it to my higher functioning brother without editing that shit out, which is a shame as he'd otherwise enjoy it and it's not really THAT good enough for me to spend the time doing it if there's repeated buttsex throughout.
TLDR: 4/10, I'm enjoying watching Monk and Seinfeld more, which I missed out on first time round due to having an actual social life.
