Why does OSX feel so comfy?
>>
>>52235196
Because it's a trap.
>>
>>52235196
Because you hate anything related to work, that is why.
>>
Doesn't feel nearly as comfy as it did in 10.9, 10.6 or 10.4
>>
>>52235269
This
>>
Because Apple understood that a good OS:

- Should never get in your way and just fade out while you do your work. No annoying popups and updates.
- Should be fast.
- Should be stable.
- Should have good battery life on laptops.
- First-party apps should be good as fuck so third-party developers have to make an extra effort to be able to compete and fit into the ecosystem.
- Should be good for "power" users too. This means UNIX plumbing, consistent keybindings everywhere and powerful window management tools like Expose/Mission Control, to name a few.

And the hardware where it runs must be God-tier too, with good keyboards and trackpads. To sum up, Apple nailed it.
>>
>>52235196
Because you are weak.
>>
>>52235452
>Should be good for "power" users too. This means UNIX plumbing, consistent keybindings everywhere and powerful window management tools like Expose/Mission Control, to name a few.

This is huge. I have my OS X workflow streamlined to the point where it barely feels like the GUI is there

>should get out of the way
Inculde a stupid dock

>fast
Yosemite and El Crapitan say otherwise

>stable
Yosemite happened. Also there are people with WiFi problems thanks go El Crapitan. Stable my ass.

>battery life
Hahahahaha fucking wangblows gets better battery life and stutters less on a Macbook 2015.

>apps
Call it programs you fuck. Also that's only to compensate for the fact that OS X doesn't get too many 3rd party programs.

>power
Didn't even have snap until El Crapitan. And it still does it in a half ased way. Missing control is shit.
Points for Unix though.
>>
>>52235196
Those are some seriously ugly ass icons. The fuck did they do to the folders?!?!

>>

>>

22, but who's counting.

Not shitty arguments at all. Search any of the stuff I said about it being buggy, having shit battery life, or slow on Google and you'll find it.

And there's no denying it can't multitask well, when it can't even Snap properly. That shits basic as fuck yet it can't do it. Like fuck, its been mainstream since like vista or 7.

No but really, I fucked your mom while your dad watched.

There's nothing wrong with El Capitan and it certainly isn't slow. Also I never have WiFi problems or kernel panics. I don't get lockups or have any performance issues. I'd rather have good first party programs then have to bloat my computer with a ton of shit because the OS dev can't be fucked to make an effort. My computer is great and I love it and Windows is pure shit and getting worse year by year. Also quote splicing is cancer. Cut it out and stop trying to make authoritative posts on things you have little to no experience with.

it's easy when you have a single core 0.8GHz laptop and the others just thermal throttles after 2 secs. also like competitors have in 2016

clean install of El Cap reporting in: everything you said only applies to upgrades (windows is no different) granted I had upgraded 4 times from the last 4 OS's, and had done extensive modification to my os (gasp, but your trolling manual clearly states you cant modify osx) so that's probably why i had problems.

I keed seeing the word Faggot being used like in every thread. funny thing is most threads are homescreen and icon related gay talk. I would guess 90% designers are GAY. Most of you know what good design is and love obsessing over the icons and stuffs. Is this a GAY image board?
>>
>>52236765
what a pathetic little creature you are. trying to claim you are someone else (me) to try to sway public opinion in a losing battle on an anonymous image board.

you really are either a red, blue, or white pill.
>>
>>52236826
It's an old.

You got a point.

But keep in mind that the appreciation of a design is subjective.

I find the OS X UI quite OK, but the OS itself is pretty useless unless you cheat and use VMs with useful OSes.
>>
>>52236841
microsoft has, statistically, more gays working for them than apple because the sample size is larger.

linux, actually, has the lowest per capita homosexual rates, but look at how niche it is, and the low quality.

no homo, just pointing out an observation for discussion.
>>
>>52236851
you've never used the os, because it's useful as.

i'm not going to give a laundry list because frankly, i don't care who uses it, and i prefer not being in the majority because once it gets majority marketshare it could get worse (like Windows worse) because they won't have to compete as hard.

so thanks for doing your part and making my os experience better. i appreciate your service, and your sacrifice.
>>
>>52235452

Am not gonna argue with you either.

But here's a TL;DR anyway : I'm an engineer and none of my tools run on this shitty OS.

Cool gimmick for image editing and meaningless shit like that but it's barely relevant in any other industry.
>>
>>52236959

They only use OSX to run a shitty code editor and ssh to linux servers

But I can't run Solidworks on mecos

Therefore, nix* is a kodemonkey/IT OS and windows is an engineering OS

windos isn't anything but a majority marketshare os.

if anything related to engineering, it's the archetype of bad engineering.
