Hey guys! I am building a new PC.
The processor is Intel I3-6100 3.7GHX, the ram is Kingston 8GB 2400MHz DDR4, the video card is GB gtx 950, the motherboard is ASROCK H110M-DGS, so will a 500W PSU good for it and how would you rate it?

GPU is starter(shitter) tier. If you have some money, invest some into 290 or 390. They will give you a long life time.
I'd think about switching motherboard to one of the Z series that supports locked skylake overclock (google "skylake non-K overclock motherboard list" ). This will boost your i3's performance quite a bit and give you a long shelf life.
500w PSU? What is that? what brand? what model? what certification?
7/10

it doesnt have a brand. It comes with a case for the pc. My budget is very limited so i am just asking if a standart 500w will get the job done?
>>52232696
No, get a psu with Japanese capacitors or gtfo.

Go for 650w, gives you room to upgrade, gold efficiency. EVGA are usually cheap and good
Why do people recommend 290/390s when 4GB 960s are cheaper and perform better
>budget build
>not building one of these

KFA2?
>>52233641
>thinks gtx 960 performs like a r9 390
facepalm
>>52233641
290s/390s are on par with 970s

Oh sorry I meant 280/380s

Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope
I suggest an XFX TS 550W. Very high quality, not too expensive.
Your CPU, RAM, and mobo are great choices, but change the PSU for the love of god and listen to the other anons' advice about graphics cards.
Although personally I would go with a GTX960 instead of an AMD card. The latter do have better performance but also more driver problems. Also, some games unfortunately have NV-only features, or features that are heavily optimised for NV cards. See Gameworks.

lol, prob faster than a 280, but not faster than a 280x (7970), 285 (380)
