Y U limited to ubuntu based OS?

Since you've fallen for the Mint meme, you don't deserve other suggestions.

/g/ and /tech/ have been telling me for years that they are the simplest to use. I’m fine with other distros, Debian looks alright.
If you're gonna Debian, you might as well use any Ubuntu there is.
You can try Fedora or Antergos.

Suse is nice too.

Can you specify why? Is it because Ubuntu is Debian based and actually updates their shit?

Again, this is what you just wrote. If there's a driver issue, download and install the proper drivers.

It's less likely that you will like to use outdated stuff, especially if you need a newer feature of a program. Debian will just make you hate GNU/Linux in general if you're a beginner.
>>52232468
In what way is it not compatible? It's likely the desktop environment if anything. If you tried cinnamon then try mate and vice versa.

>Linux Mint is not compatible

If you're willing to at least attempt logical thought and do a bit of work and research it should work unless you're attempting to install on locked down or weird hardware like a low end trashtop or a tablet/convertible. What laptop?
