Why did the first integrated circuit look like it was in a house fire?
>>52222824
Because it was 1958
Funded by Nvidia
It was made in a cave with a box of scraps

Because it was the first.

>Why did the first integrated circuit look like it was in a house fire?
was attached an amd 1mhz processor.

I don't get how this differs from me just putting pieces of metal together on some non-conduction material on a board and calling it an integrated circuit.
>>52224044
>i understood that refugee
>>52224180
they did it first
Cause it was a proof of concept.

Your circuit needs semiconductors (transistors and diodes) to do some useful function like a logic gate. An integrated circuit is where all the transistors are build together on the same silicone wafer instead of separate components soldered together on a breadboard.
>>52222824
Because the first of anything is usually pretty mediocre compared to refined consumer products.
>"why is the model-t worse than a modern car?"
>"why was the first mobile phone so basic?"
Why do you think?

Fixed.
And not just transistors or even active components.
Passive components, like capacitors and resistors, as well as gyrators to simulate inductances.

He doesn't.
