I must use utorrent 2.0.4 because muh private trackers but could be a nice idea to use QB/deluge for public ones?

There was any real harm done to anyone for using outdated utorrent?
>>
I'm using 2.2.1 for what.cd and iPT, working fine so far. Not sure why you wouldn't use it.

There is harm using it at all, its a insecure program that has been confirmed to have spyware and bitcoin miners

Windows 10 throttles the fuck out of torrents. Not even sure how. I was experimenting so fuck off with whatever you are about to say: botnet fail etc.
>>
>>52220725
What kind of shit tracker forces you to use utorrent 2.0.4? Either switch to 2.2.1 or use qbittorent/deluge, and stop using that tracker
>>
can someone help me find a link for 2.2.1 please.

The R1 audio sucks compared to the R2J and there are no good R2J encodes. Rukia is mai waifu, so that means holding half a terabyte of DVDs.

I've been using 2.0.4 for 10+ years I think. It hasn't had a problem yet.

What is the best torrent to use, also does the paid version of Windows 10 have the Spyware people complain about?

I have the windows 10 upgrade in a USB from months ago and I still haven't chosen to activate it on my computer, should I just buy it or go with "Free". I'm new to this.

Don't install it fool

And qb or deluge
>>
Do private trackers have a problem with qbittorrent / Deluge?

My upload speeds are absolute dogshit when seeding private torrents, but I assumed that's because of the campus connection.

Transmission is pretty good tbqh.
>>
>>52225838
I'm on 15 private trackers, using Deluge and rtorrent to seed with both a 250 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit connection. No problems whatsoever.

>>52224217
what what the fuck, miners? i tought thoose were people downloading it like me....
>>
>>52220725
The problem is that you won't necessarily know when you've been compromised for some vulnerabilities.

>>52220910
The program doesn't have a bitcoin miner. When you install a freeware program you need to carefully read what it says. Some security software automatically block ad-based modules like opencandy from connecting, but /g/ has this "common sense antivirus <year>". Okay...then use some common fucking sense and don't just click through the installer without reading the prompt dumbass. The miner in question came from an ad serving part of the utorrent installer.

However, you should realize that after you first install the program, you can just drop any other utorrent.exe (for updates) into the utorrent directory and it will NOT run the installer. This means that paying attention one time saves you from any problems.

We're supposed to value intelligence over stupidity here.
Either you're overly cautious (in reality, this is common sense) and have a good security program that automatically blocks ad-serving modules in installers, or you use some common sense and make sure you aren't installing what you don't want to when some ad shit comes up in a freeware installer.
After all, it's the retarded normies who are the ones mindlessly click through installers. Fuck em.

He's talking about a version of µTorrent that people claim to have miners in them.
