In all honesty, a serious computer is nearly identical to a gaming build. You just avoid K processors and "gaming" motherboards.

Op here, I'll go for the 750 ti because 640 it's reasonably powerful (for my needs) and reasonably priced. As for the cpu, is the 4790k the best bang for the bucks right?
