Hi /g/entoos, i have 1000$ to build my next build.
Since I'm not a 'gamer' so I do not practise 'gaming', what is the right approach to choose components? Powerful CPU and mediocre gpu?

5820K and 750ti

Am i supposed to spend one third of the budget for a gpu when I don't play vidya???
>>52218234
This makes more sense to me.
As for the other parts, I just go with logical increments 1000$-zone? Do you recommend something else?
>>52218234
Also, is the 4790k any better?

Are you trolling? The 750ti is fucking garbage.

ITS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ANYTHING NON GAMIGN RELATED YOU STUPID PILE OF SHIT
>>52219253
>640 cores
>enough for heavy workstation rendering
nah man.
In all honesty, a serious computer is nearly identical to a gaming build. You just avoid K processors and "gaming" motherboards.

you stupid piece of shit he made it clear hes not rendering otherwise he wouldn't be looking to buy a "mediocre" GPU

>>52219324
Op here, I'll go for the 750 ti because 640 it's reasonably powerful (for my needs) and reasonably priced. As for the cpu, is the 4790k the best bang for the bucks right?

640 cores*

What? Will? You? Use? It? For?
You. Raving. Cumqueen. Of. A. Faggot.
>>52219447
If you get an intel processor with 4600HD graphics, you won't even need a dedicated GPU.
>>52219359
He said he's not gaming.
I don't game either faggot, and I have a 780 ti. It's the perfect hobbyist GPU.
But now it's clear he's probably a linux nerd, so 750 is enough.
