I'm a fan of both because they provide long lasting value.
More cores used to be a meme and people made fun of AMD for it, now it's being utilized in everything.
The GPUs provide far more longevity as well...
Honestly the only reason to hate them is TDP.
If you do need strong single core performance, buy Intel.
