So I saved up some money and a Christmas bonus from work, and now I want to buy a new computer to play games and do simple video editing for University. I want to be able to upgrade it in a few years without having to change too much, so I'm going for a build with CPU socket 1151 and DDR4.
Pic related is a bunch of parts I picked so far, but I'm not sure on all of them. The i5-6600K seems like a reasonable choice for a CPU with OCing potential, I was recommended the MSI GTX 970 graphics card by my boss, and most of the other parts are basically picked on a whim. What I need most help with are finding proper RAM, a good 1151 socket mainboard, and a halfway decent hard drive (preferably with 2-3 TB storage, and under no circumstances less than 7200rpm). I already have an SSD and a 27" screen with 1920*1200 resolution.
What's important is that, because of my current living situation, I'll need to have a way to connect to Wi-Fi with it as well. I'm not sure if I should get a mainboard with built-in Wifi, a PCIe Wifi adapter, or a USB-based one. What would you guys recommend? My total budget is around 1200€.
Literally just made a thread about this. Was looking for feedback about my build as well. Just sorta waiting on my CPU to get to my house so I can put it all together
rate my build, it's for dota 2

seriously dude, drop the hard disk and get a SATA SSD

10/10
I should return all my parts and spend $4500 more and get the same thing

I would try to cut corners on other components and drop the extra $150 foir a 4GB GTX970. 2GB VRAM is pretty low these days.

That's what I was thinking, ill probably upgrade after a while of using the 960. Its my first build and I sorta went a bit quickly.

Also windows 10 is free now don't buy windows 7 like a fucking retard.

GTA V max settings requires around 4GB, I'd imagine most other modern games are similar

Bought it before win10 came out. Basically been buying the parts for this thing for a year now.

Also the 4GB 960 exist

You know.
Anyway, here's another attempt to match the parts. Any idea on how to get it below 1200€?

Cheaper 970 or go 380X
Cheaper/No ODD

get the archer t9e instead. also, wd failure rate are pretty high this year, so i'd go with hgst/hitachi for the hard drive. you're also missing an ssd, which is currently one of the best upgrades you can buy.
i'd rather get a 1tb hdd and a 256gb ssd.

not an option in germany. we can only dream of US prices
